*boos dial up*
There should be a dial-up amnesty. People can hand in their dial-up modem in private, without the need for identification and public humiliation.
I think that is an excellent idea. Someone propose it to Washington.
EDIT: and the other capitals as well.
And what about other countries, too?
Thats what I meant by the other capitals: those of other countries. If it was to go through in Washington, state capitals wouldn't make any difference whatsoever, so Washington is all thats needed in the US. Other capitals = seats of government for the other countries
Which dial up are you talking about? Analog or ISDN?
ISDN isn't that bad if you only want to go to a forum, but an analog connection is just cruel. I had to use one a few days ago and I was thinking of bringing the bits of data to the other computer by my own.
My family has yet to decide as to whose house will Thanksgiving be held at this year. If my mom was smart, she won't push to have it at our townhome.
Too much work?
We normally don't have Thanksgivings. The biggest family-meetings are for Christmas and for birthdays. Btw is the 6th of December a special day in the USA?
And are there special days for sports in your country (wherever you live)? Just wondering.
I'm lobbying for it, just like I supposedly irresponsibly lobbied for this forum.
I still think a Sports forum is pretty unlikely.
I'm pretty confident that you are wrong my friend.
I know, they'd have to allow a underwater basket weaving forum, if they ever allowed a sports forum. That's obviously a direction we don't want to head in.
Only when I'm posting in the sports forum's social thread about whether the sports forum is likely to happen will I believe a sports forum is likely to happen.
Until then... you simply won't convince me.
Um, I don't know. Social threads weren't exactly what I was shooting for, when I proposed the Sports forum. Not to sure we'd need one of those to weigh new forum down.
That's just my two cents, though.
I'd like to hear from a mod about the possibility of a social thread in this potential new forum.
a social thread shouldn't be allowed.
we're not social people.
Yeah, we definitely need some clarity on social threads, should the forum be approved.
I can't believe the administration hasn't replied in the two minutes since you just posted.
In the unlikely event of a sports forum, social threads will be locked and the topic starter severely punished.
I know right? We should vote on the mods, because this is unacceptable.
We need international mods!!!
I think we should have Captain Picard as a mod.
is that a face value post, or a veiled reference?
