I have been out of sports for quite a while, but I'm getting back into it now. I'm having trouble deciding on the best College Football team(s) to root for. Any help is appreciated.

 

Where are you from? It is probably best to go local if you have no affiliation with a college.

Today is National Drink Beer Day.

Two things:

1) I wouldn't have known this without AO/Soccer. Hurray for both
2) This is my kind of Holiday. I've requested Mrs Inty to pick up local craft seasonal on her way home from work.

 

I had a dream last night in which I'm out at the movies with friends, and I get a phone call from another friend saying "The NFL announces their return to L.A.!", followed by me yelling & running around the lobby of the theater.... then I woke up.

 

You'd have thunk that Free Beer Movement would have had tweeted something about that, but I didn't see anything from them. I did have a beer, and a local micro at that.

 

FBM was on it - I just logged into FB first and saw it from AO.

 

Ah, just must have missed it then. That makes more sense.

 

Obviously golf has a big following here in the U.S., but how prestigious is the Ryder Cup in the grand scheme of things? Is it like the NCAA tournament or the NIT?

 

Much, much closer to the NCAA Tourney than the NIT. I mean, I pay attention to it, and I'm a majors only golf-watcher.

 

No - Ryder Cup is a lot bigger than that. In the view of a lot of people, it's just below the four majors. That's my view. And, honestly, in my view, it's above one of them (hint: not the Masters, US Open, or British Open )
