This is a really cool idea,
@DarthIntegral, btw. So cool, in fact, that my first 3 and a half hours of work have been spent trying to find ways to defeat 2001 Miami.
Always glad when I can help with time wasting efforts. As long as you don't work for me.
I'm too scared to join.
A convergence of Thanksgiving & Hanukkah today, which won't happen again for another 70,000+ years, so...
All American Arena-ites, raise a glass and join me in celebrating the ratification of the best amendment to the Constitution - the twenty-first. Ratified this day in 1933.
Death to prohibition!
Long live Gronk!
I watched this earlier tonight, and man it was absolutely fantastic. It's so good that I wish it could have been longer, in particular part III, the section where they specifically tie in the community pride, etc, aspect to the world of sports. A must watch, in my humble opinion.

Aside from my partisan feelings about Puig, I'd go with the Blackhawks scoring those 2 goals in 17 seconds to clinch the Stanley Cup in Boston.
Tunick how do you feel about Matt Kemp becoming the next Mr. Khloe Kardashian
This is a fair representation of my feelings about that possibility:
Kemp, don't make the mistake Odom did! Stay away, stay so far away!
Coming to your outfield in Summer of 2014!
I can't wait for the Superbowl mainly due to the movie trailers.
They ain't nothing to **** with.
(Language, FACPOV, warning)
Is the Super Bowl next weekend or in two weekends from now?
Two weekends from now

Harris poll conducting asking fans what their favorite sport/organization was:
35% - NFL
14% - MLB
11% - NCAAF
7% - NASCAR
6% - NBA
5% - NHL
Compare this with the same poll in 1985, the first year it was conducted:
24% - NFL
6% - NBA
5% - NASCAR
4% - Horse Racing
3% - PGA
3% - PBA
3% - Soccer
2% - NHL
Massive jump for the NFL, considerable drop for MLB, good gains for NHL. I can only attribute the drop-off in NCAA Basketball to the eligibility rules for entering the NBA Draft, fans have to learn a new crop of stars every year, and it gets tiring/hard to keep up with.
Also, Roger Goodell and Paul Tagliabue- good work.
Just a few weeks until Charley Steiner season returns. Some of his best ESPN work:
Via Deadspin... can a 16th seed beat a 1? WILL THIS BE THE YEAR?
