Magic. These two should have been the final.

    MJ

And by MJ, I mean EJ. And by EJ, I mean Magic.

More well-rounded player. More fun to watch. And he never stomped on my heart with a shot that made its way into Gatorade commercials.

I remember that shot against the Cavs -- IIRC I was at Yankees-White Sox game at the old Comisky, they showed it on the jumbotron.

Jordan, definitely. Nothing against Magic, though.

This is tough. I respect both players, but I was always a Magic supporter. Gotta go with Earvin.

Michael. One of the most famous people on the planet who took basketball to another level on the world stage. He tied sports with merchandising so well that he still has commercials running long after his playing days. Ask any advertising agency & they'll tell you that Michael/Nike are models of success which they are trying to recreate. Magic always had a rival with Bird and will forever be tied together, Jordan was all alone.

magic was a great player, and certainly fun to watch. but more fun to watch than jordan? that's insanity.

It's a tie at the moment, so I'll vote against the one Inty picked :p

No, really, I would have voted for Jordan in any case (haven't really seen Magic play)

    Toughie . . .

I used to hate Shaq when he first came into the league, but he started to grow on me.

I liked Malone, but then he jumped to the Lakers to win a cheapie championship.

    Soooo . . . Shaq.

shaq. no contest for me really. the mailman racked up a lot of points in his career but he was never really the kind of player who could absolutely take over a game even if he was being double and triple teamed the way shaq could in his prime. and where would he have been without stockton?

AJ and I agree again...the Mailman it is.

If you've never seen Magic play, how can you choose unbiasedly? Do a youtube on him.
