Krin, if you're interested in long distance weapons you really need to start specializing in them. Look at feats like farshot, improved critical, improved initiative, sharp-eyed, and weapon focus, then mod-out your rifle or look at buying a more specialized rifle.

Now see if I could get rid of the LD-1 and get a heavy blaster if I had enough credits I would. But I was kinda also going for the sniper type but I wanted to get the beggining feats for my two handed weapons out of the way.
