Less said the better about this today.

A lot lies on the shoulders of Bell, KP and Freddie now.

When I got home and saw this news I laughed. :p

Brilliant work by our bowlers. From the looks of things, Clark also put some flash into the tail end batting, too! :D

And yes, if anyone saw in my last post the word "resign"... that should be declare. [face_blush] I don't know what came over me.

I'm going to vote early tomorrow morning, go and get some snacks, drinks and something for lunch and then hopefully plant myself in front of a TV all day to watch the cricket :D

    My god it's an extermination.

Okay the Aussies won the toss, but there's no way England would've been able to capitalise on that as well as Australia have.

EDIT: :( It turns out Flintoff was given out on a no ball.

They'll definately bat on for the first session, at least to get Langer a hundred, possibly for Ponting to get a second. If either of those guy's get out, I can see them promoting Gilchrist in order to get him in form for Adelaide.

It's all about lulling Australia into a false sense of security.

    That has to be it.

Sorry Everton thats a load of codswallop (very old fashioned word I know).

After all the hype and 3 days in, the England team are just...poor, very poor.

Thats got to be one of our worst batting performances to date. Our bowling is just as atrocious.
Fletcher has to make two changes in the next test, firstly bye bye to Giles for Panesar. Thats the most obvious change, we need an attacking spinner who can grind the opposition batsmen down and provide a foil for Warne (although the two are incomparable). The second change, and a little controversial is to not play Harmison. The guy doesn't give a damn about this series, thats shown by his atttude in pretending to be injured and not playing the matches leading upto this test. Its much harder to say who to replace him with but we need people who want to play this game and retain the ashes.

However at the moment the Ashes will go back to Australia with little to no fight from the team that apparently is just keeping it safe.

I can't be bothered to see my nation disgraced by such a display and I hope Fletcher and Flintoff realise they have made a huge burden worse by their poor decision making, what I'd have done for Strauss to be captain.

    [face_laugh] Smashed!

I'm surprised Australia went back into bat, however. I would have thought a follow-on would be the call. I suppose the bowlers might have wanted a rest.

I always thought we would lose the 1st test (maybe not this badly, though :p )so I'm keeping an open mind until the 2nd and 3rd tests, where I believe The Ashes will be decided.

I know I'm Australian, but watching Pieterson hit Warne around is pretty enjoyable.
