They lost even without the error. Wright should of thrown to home instead. Just because they get the guy at first, they would of scored anyway. They had no outs. 1 guy out, would not of ended it. The Braves won that either way. But if Wright had decided to throw at home instead to catch the runner, then it might of been different but they didn't.

The runner was only on second, not third - no reason to go home at all. Force outs at first, second and third... but Wright had no chance to get back to third, and second would have been too late. Only play available was at first. A good throw leaves runners on second and third with one out, a scenario that likely ends in the Braves winning anyway, but certainly not guaranteed.

Well tonight was a tough battle, no lie, but we managed to get on top. Great game though.

Didn't get to see it, but got back in my car and heard the announcers raving (again) about Jason Heyward :p

Yeah, I heard the basics of what happened on radio. And the highlights are about to come up on SportsCenter, so at least I'll get to see that. The game will re-air on SportsSouth tonight... but the finish won't be until 2 am, when I plan on being asleep.

    EDIT: lol @ Conrad's reaction :p

    I believe so, yes.

Also, the Braves have gone from last in the East to second in the East in a span of 4 days :p

    That's awesome! :D

We really have been having some great games lately, especially that insane comeback vs the Reds.

Tough loss, but after winning three in a row in walkoff fashion, its hard to complain too much about losing one in a similar manner.

EDIT: oh, and its worth noting who was on the bench yesterday. Heyward, Chipper, McCann, Hinske... that's a pretty good looking bench :p

We lost Tuesday...won Wednesday but was losing at first

Why do we struggle against our groups teams? Interesting thing is everyone currently in the NL East has a winning record...unlike everyone else. And all are within around 2 games of taking Philly out of the top spot...

The actual margin is 3 games, but that's still the closest knit division by far - next would be the AL West, with a 7.5 game difference from top to bottom - and that's with only 4 teams, not 5. NL West is 8.5 games.

Braves only 2.5 back from Philly right now, and a half game ahead of the Marlins/Mets/Nats. Philly's lost 4 straight and has come back to the pack.

Well were closer now thanks to the Mets. If we can beat the Pirates and the phills keep losing, we'll take the 1st spot.

if the phills lose at least two of their games, and we can win I guess all 3 against pittsburgh, we can take 1st place!

A lot of rain delays last night, but its a win for the Braves. Atlanta's now won 8 of their last 10... the only team in the majors right now who has gone 8-2 in that span.

Second night in a row the game's been delayed in the ninth inning. But its another Braves win, following a quality start from Kris Medlen, who has been very good so far this season, and some good hitting, too, particularly by Glaus and Prado.

Also, the Braves will miss Halladay in the series against Philly :)

Given that the Braves have already been no-hit once (and nearly twice) this year... yeah. Though the offense has been better lately.

I'm seriously excited about the upcoming series. Now I just have to figure out how to fix my TV before then.
