    The English word for Nads is Jacobs - you can at least speak English when you post in here 8-}

    We'll turn you into a certified Brit eventually - resistence is futile.

    Knackers is a euphemism for testicles in the UK. Cream crackers rhymes with knackers. Jacobs is the foremost manufacturer of said cream crackers.

    I'm a Brit and even i find some of these word associations baffling. Mind you I live in sleepy suffolk town so its to be expected. ;)

    Au contraire, Ender. I have been very supportive of the English cricket team because I hate a one-sided series. The last Pakistan effort was incredibly boring.

    I was there, Ender. I was there the day the strength of the English fielding side failed. (The batting side fell apart later on, but Trescothick was doing okay, and Butcher seemed to be coping).

    Seriously though, the fielding performance on the first day was really second rate. Ashley Giles seemed to take it from the crowd well. Andy Caddick just ignored us. The Barmy Army was eerily silent.

    I really hope they go back to basics (again) and scrub up in the fieding department. If there's one thing the English side do well, it's coming back after an initial knock down. I'm hoping Hobart's test is a lot more of a competition than the one I witnessed.

    Back again.

    Hey Ender... remeber how I mentioned that little thing about pubs closing early?

    I remeber something else of great importance that provides a perfect counterbalance.

    In England, you can buy alcohol off the shelf in supermarkets. Not a bottle-o attached to a supermarket, but right there amidst the frozen mushy peas and baked beans. (Well, not quite, the keep those items in different isles usually...)

    Think: walking into a Coles or Woolworths (NB: Woolworths in Australia are different to Woolworths in the UK), going past the grocery section and picking up a pack of crownies.

    Of course, you can't get crownies in the UK, at least not easily.

    Who's in charge of this Australian Embassy? I've got an Irish girlfriend who wants to stay here in OZ but she's only on a 12 month visa and it's running out. The bloody government won't extend it or let her migrate.

    She needs 10 more points or something to that effect. Any ideas on how to help her stay here? (No I don't want to marry her).
