Since I am a person, it would be polite to use 'wer' since 'was' is only for inanimate objects.

If you want to know what I said, it should be 'du sagst?'
sagt - third person singular
sagst - second person sigular

though in German we'd probably say 'will heißen?'

 

Okay fine in english:...say what?

 

S I said already, in German that would be 'will heißen' or 'will meinen'.

I was just huffing about you not appreciating my efforts to help you improve on your German...

 

I no longer take german, and haven't in awhile, so I lost a lot of stuff...

 

I could give you lessons. I don't have much to do here otherwise anyway...
