Definition of 'Disco' in Germany: Any place you go to dance and have a drink. Usually overcrowded, very loud and stifling.

This is my favorite picture of me, not just because I actually look good, but because of the story behind this. There's a church about 20 blocks from my parents' apartment that has a beautiful colonnade like this

Well, my mom wanted a picture of me next to one of the columns in the colonnade. Problem was the setup. In that picture, I look like I'm happily peering around a column. In fact, I have half of my dress in a bush and am about to fall into the scenic pond, which is why I'm hugging that column so freaking hard.

The trick to getting good pictures in the Louvre is to go during February, when no one wants to be a tourist.

 

I was there in December, so it wasn't too busy.
