The posts go through even if you close the page before the system stops 'thinking' about the post.

EDIT: RVP got a yellow. Cost me 2 pts as he was my captain. :(

Superb first half performance by Chelsea. Not seen them like this in a long time. In Benitez we tr.....nah still can't say that.

5 goals in the last game with 5 different scorers

today, 7 goals with 7 different scorers.

Never has the phrase "The Beautiful Game" been more apt.

EDIT: Damn you Piazon! Could have made it eight different scorers

Glad I missed that Aston Vila game. Just saw this stat line:

Brad Guzan started, played 90 minutes and made seven saves in Aston Villa’s 8-0 loss vs. Chelsea on Sunday.

How do you make seven saves while conceding 8 goals?

He made 7 fantastic saves including a penalty. It was one of the most one-sided games I have ever seen.

But also there were no bookings and the ref and his assistants were all excellent. A great game to watch. (Unless you are a Villa fan obviously)

I'll need to find some highlights then. Thanks for the info, hal. Guess Guzan might have played well despite conceding 7, as odd as that sounds.

    He conceded 8 :p

But he couldn't have done anything about those, although he did get a hand on Hazard's goal so he may feel he could have done better on that.

Chelsea's last 4 goals all came in the last 15 minutes. Before then, Guzan was fantastic. Some amazing saves. He was Villa's stand out player. Whether that's a credit to him, or a discredit to the other players is up to the beholder. But he never gave up.

Guzan actually put effort in, which is more than can be said for the rest of the Villa team. Playing 3 at the back is difficult expecilly against big sides like Chelsea. Not sure it's something VIlla should really go for as a regular formation.

United got a lesson in how to defend well from Swansea, but a draw at their ground is a decent result given how good they can be.
Michu is class, I might have to start making him my team captain.

LOL @ Downing actually managing to score a goal.

8-0 and all Mata gets me is an assist. [face_frustrated]

    Likewise.

Regarding rhe RVP thing - It doesn't seem like it was deliberate, it would have been far worse had it been a player's foot than just the ball. Fergie went OTT about it all, the worst that would likely happen is RVP gets some ear ringining out of it or a broken nose had it hit him square in the face. RVP's reaction was understandable but still worthy of a booking.

goalkeepers are amazing people, aren't they. putting their lives at risk each and every game. they should all be paid £500k a week.

I remember absolutely rifling a half-volley into this kid's face (he was the opposition keeper) from a few yards away when I was younger. :p Totally unintentional as I wanted to score but only just managed to get a foot to it due to the presence of other players.

    He lived, btw.

Aaaand that's what you call a Christmas Cracker.

United v Newcastle always seem to produce classics. Attacking wise, anyway.

Too stressful being a fan these days.
Madrid will have a field day with this awful defense.

Still, 7 points clear now. LOL @ City

    Also, LOL @ Berbatov's shirt

Wow. Newcastle score 6 goals over a two-game stretch, and come away with zero points.

Norwich's defence is really crap. letting in two goals against 10 men, ffs.

good to see Kagawa back. hopefully he can get a bit of a run now in the team.

It baffles me how a player can get 2 yellows and not a red.

It happened after only 26 minutes with the first yellow being for diving. I can't believe that not one of the opposition realised what had happened and not told the ref. A crazy situation.
