Luke Shaw is worth £21m easy, he's been very consistant for Soton so far this year and at 18 has years ahead of him. If you can get him at £21m and turn him into another Evra (which I don't think will be too hard) then you'll have a player at a steal.

Don't forget you payed around £20m for Jones and when he's given a run in the right position he's excellent for oyu.

It is a good idea to build a team around English players as much as possible. A mostly English defence playing at the top level will benefit the national team as it does in other countries.

Interesting draws indeed, should make for some good matches.

It seems Mata has been given the Number 8 shirt by United, the number Anderson had. I wonder who exactly they are holding the Number 7 shirt for if not Mata.

Mata is not a number 7.

Baines signs a new contract which is nice (though contracts mean nothing of course)

That is nice. Best left back in the world and all that. Now that Oviedo is out for the season, it's great to know Baines isn't going anywhere. There'll be greater cause for celebration, though, when Ross Barkley signs a new deal.

Number 7 is being saved for an uber signing in the summer, innit.

    Or it'll go to Adnan.

Seems Shaw is more interested in going to Chelsea than United, shame.

Not sure if United are going to sign anyone else this window, could do with at least attempting to bid for Cabaye.

Luke Shaw should stay exactly where he is.

Damn, was hoping for a draw in the derby.

For United, Young with one of his cracking games. Shame the next 5 will be crap. And Mata! In red!

Another win for Palace, too. Good stuff.

Arsenal draw though and lose Flamini to a red card. That will be helpful when United play them.

Mata played well today, but the team still really needs a creative force from deep coming forward.

Well, that was a wonderful derby. I was really worried when I saw our midfield as without a proper defensive midfielder our leaky defence is less than convincing. Thankfully they coped admirably. Gerrard should pretend he's playing Everton every week.

Wish I had today as my work at home day to have EPL on in the background instead of yesterday. But, then again, maybe not. On one hand, you have the potential for American vs American. On the other hand, that game is Sunderland vs Stoke City ...

Fulham have apparently made an offer for United youngsters Ryan Tunnicliffe & Larnell Cole.
It would benefit thopse guys to get regular football, but they are highly rated by United so is it a good idea to let them go? Remember what happened with Pogba after all.

I think Thiago should replace Kroos in the starting line up. Yes. No minutes for Kroos!

    1) Wenger complains about Man U signing Mata stating the transfer window is unfair
    2) Hypocritical Wenger signs a player on the final day of the transfer window
    3) Said player injures himself in his very training session and could be out for the rest of the season.

    This deserves a.....
