    And Matic essentially became OP.

In other news, Richards heading to Fiorentina is a good bit of business for Citeh.

    Falcao whaaaat

given Rooney and RVP's struggles playing together, their lack of pace, and general lack of form, this makes some sense. basically swapping Hernandez for Falcao. nice.

Doesn't make as much sense as completing that defence. Also, when was the last time United were on this end of a loan deal?

i agree - not to mention central midfield - but hey ho, it's still kinda awesome. i just don't know how many available centrebacks there are out there, hence our lack of signings. the likes of Hummels are just not gettable it seems.

as for the loans, no idea, but there have been a lot of weird loans this summer.

The crazy thing is why Falcao was allowed to leave Monaco. He's their best & most high profile player

Falcao's agent has allegedly said that the deal is 1 year loan with a non-discretionary obligation to buy, structured this way for financial purposes. The only loan I can think of where that was the case was Kuszczak - Larsson was only ever a short term thing and there was no obligation to buy with Tevez.

I'm slightly annoyed - we still need at least one more class centreback and probably another central midfielder, and I'd rather have seen the money go on, off the top of my head, Hummels, Pogba, Vidal, Marquinhos etc.

I guess he's fed up of playing against European teams.

United may have to copy Liverpool's formation to be effective after the international break.

    ____________De Gea________
    Rafael____Jones___Rojo___Shaw_____
    ____Herrera____Blind____Di Maria_____
    ______________Mata_____________
    _______Rooney_____Falcao___

No true wingers but quick attacking wing-backs who can actually defend

Send us RVP if you don't plan to start him. Consider it repayment for Mata.

Also, if Untied can't win the league with Di Maria and Falcao, Van Gaal is a buffoon. As highly as I think of Cesc, fact remains that MU now has, by far, the two most talented players in the BPL.

Cech staying with us, that's good.

There is currently a bidding war for Tom Cleverley.

Let that sink in for a moment...

Why would United be concerned by FFP? They generate massive revenue every year that will offset whatever they spend. They don't need to balance books, they aren't likely to make a loss
Falcao seems like a deal simply because of RVP needing surgery & his unreliability with injuries. If he performs well then fork out the money next season for him, if he flops send him back.

Who knows. It was the reports from Spain and his own camp. Falcao's agent: "It's a permanent deal but due to the FFP rules the first year must be a loan deal."

Rumours over here that Jermaine Defoe is being made available to several English clubs, with QPR the most likely.

I doubt he actually moves, but would be fantastically hilarious if he did.

Financially it's good to be careful, especially if the team fails to get Top 4 again and loses out on the CL money.
Having spent £200million would then be a problem, as would wages.

Arsenal will make a £40m bid for Marco Reus before tonight's deadline. [Metro]

Hugely sceptical on this; think it's highly unlikely it will happen.

Falcao makes 346,000 pounds a week.

The PohG will not be pleased.
