Sakho needs to learn how to pass.

 

The ref need to learn how to make a big call.

 

He's been awful. For both sides

 

Can anyone explain the logic of away goals counting only after extra time?

 

I think it's to stop teams both shutting up shop and playing for penalties for 30 mins. A shame as I quite like penalty shootouts

 

The whole point of away goals (which is stupid in any event) is to encourage the away team to play more attacking football. It's bad enough to give an away team that advantage, but it's ridiculous that only one team gets an extra 30 mins to score one. Away goals should only count after 90 mins, then extra time is just that. The same in EVERY other competion

 

I assume it has to do with home advantage for that extra 30 minutes.

Well, that goal changes nothing. Liverpool need to score as they did before.

 

But like in this case, both teams have had exactly the same home and away advantage after 90 minutes in both games. It makes sense to invoke that stupid rule at that point. It makes no sense to invoke it only after extra time in the 2nd leg.

And as you say, that goal means nothing at this point.
