I don't think it's attitude. I think it's talent, and a staggering lack of quality depth (that Conte expressed concerns about before the season started).

City, Untied, Liverpool, and Spurs all field more talented sides. Probably Arsenal too. And depth is not a concern for any of them, outside of maybe Spurs.

I don't fault locker room issues - no signs that he's lost anyone in it. He does make weird tactical adjustments from time-to-time. I think this goes back to what epic was saying about Roman, and the changed approach he has in paying for and pursuing top level talent. I think we'll be under different ownership within 5 years.

Most of that team won the league last season, there's a bunch of talented players.

The instant impact mentality has hurt a lot of clubs and players, it's a shame it's become like that.

Chelsea had De Bruyne & Salah at one stage & let them go, now they're world class.
How many other Chelsea youth talents now play in the PL & Championship that were let go?

José gets criticized for not developing youth talent for the same reasons, it takes too long to wait for talent to bloom when you can buy already world class players.

Gone are the days of the Class of 92 & many other legendary in-house club talents that Liverpool & Chelsea & United used to bring in.

Not so much youth talents. Guys (some young, some not) that we've given up on too early. Of which there are too many.

Was nice to see the attack actually clicking and look dangerous for once, as opposed to looking lost. Shame it's just a loan, as he seems a natural fit.

Also, really loved the atmosphere that came through from Cologne last night as I was watching. Just phenomenal. Although, the FC Köln anthem has gotten stuck in my head pretty hardcore.

They aren't going to be caught.

They were chasing history. I suppose if they win a quad or treble, they can still argue about their place in the echelon of great PL teams.
