    There we go! Another shift.

But on that subject, I can clearly see progress, something being built, piece by piece. You're the same as under LVG. Having wasted a stupid amount of money in the process.

    liverpool beat man city

likely a more impressive feat than anything the rest of us accomplish this year.

except arsenal, the community shield winners.

edit - and lord, before you tell me richie, i know that beating man city does not yield any silver. i know.

Can a non league fan interject? (no probably but tough)

United have won stuff and that is the main task of a football team. Irrespective of what they win it's a trophy and any footballer worth their salt would rather a league cup winners medal than continually come in 4th.

That being said, the football united are currently playing is awful and has been for ages. Mourinho's style currently just appears to be lacking in any flair or forward impetus and when he comes up against a team that has a minor chance of winner he parks the bus.

Yes his defence is dodgy and that may hamper him with any sort of forward momentum but that's all on him. He bought Sanchez which was a signing that wasn't really needed when you consider the dearth of ability at the back.
Smalling had potential but that's gone and he's hit his limit
Jones is a good defender but far too injury prone
Lord knows what he's doing with Shaw
Bailly is a great defender but injured
    Lindelof - jury is out
Valencia and Young are bloody wingers, attack minded ones at that.

He would have been better looking for decent defenders in the summer (Fulham have a good one I believe considering the lack of faith he appears to have in Shaw)

So whilst Richie is right that winning trophies is important, the football United are playing is dire and if it continues both Liverpool and Spurs will stride ahead of you.

As a neutral, I'd rather watch Liverpool and Spurs any day

BVB were not particularly impressive until Reus came on. Pulisic is far from his top form. The one bright spot was Götze. Overall I’m not very confident is Stöger. I suspect Nagelsmann is coming in the summer.

When RB started taking over teams, wasn’t such a clash going to be an issue? Is it still or did the problem disappear?

There was Ann issue about Leipzig’s eligibility for Champions League at the start of the season , UEFA’s investigation concluded they seperated front Red Bull enough.

Yeah. There was almost nothing from BVB. Part of that is Stoger, I think, didn't do enough squad rotation for the three games in 8 days and some of the players just looked gassed. Some of it is that the team still hasn't really replaced Dembele. And, some of it is some key players - like Pulisic - having a dip in form.

Edit: Draw is in. BVB get RB Salzburg. Love this quote from AC Milan sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli on the draw: "I'm sorry for Arsenal, who I'm sure would have liked to have continued in Europe"

Have to try to get tickets for the match in Salzburg.

And Mila. Is in no position to talk trash. They spent heavily in the off-season and have disappointed tremendously. Arsenal could have drawn far tougher opponents.

Evra to West Ham is a transfer I seem to have missed.
Good to see him in the PL again. Although given he's 36 I expect he won't be around long.
Moyes must surely have better options in the market. Hammers won't get far with two ancient full backs.

I’m surprised de Gea conceded that goal. It was Lloris-esque.
