Yup, Ronaldo to Juventus is official now. Juventus is playing in the MLS All-Stars game in Atlanta on August 1st, but that's probably too soon for him to be with them.

Given he scores about 50% of RM's goals most of the time, are they still winning the CL next season?

Even if he stayed I would say no purely because they have to stop winning it eventually.

Largest dismissal payouts ever made to managers, worldwide:

    1. André Villas-Boas (Chelsea, 2012) – €30m

    2. José Mourinho (Chelsea, 2007) : €23m

    3. Luiz Felipe Scolari (Chelsea, 2009) : €17m

    4. Fabio Capello (Russia, 2015) : €15m

    5. José Mourinho (Chelsea, 2015) : €14m

    6. Brendan Rodgers (Liverpool, 2015) : €9.5m

    7. Antonio Conte (Chelsea, 2018): €9m

    8. Carlo Ancelotti (Chelsea, 2011) : €7m

    9. David Moyes (Manchester United, 2014) : €7m

    10. Fabio Capello (Real Madrid, 2007) : €6m

100 mil. In less than ten years. We could have bought a Pogber.

    City sign Mahrez for £60million.

Good player, though not sure if he'll get a lot of match time given the squad they already have.

It’s their record signing, so it would be odd if he didn’t. Unless he flops, which would be loltastic.

Pretty difficult to flop at City, his style of play fits right in there.

Pogba fit in at Juventus, and look what’s happened since.

Sorry Richie, you know I had to ;)

Because his style of play isn't suited to United's style of play.

Not a problem Mahrez will have at City

Mahrez will replace Sterling in the starting line up. Because Sterling isn’t that great.

I like that Leicester play the same as Manchester City. And that he can step up. But also might not be a starter....presumably because they don’t play the same and he might not step up. #richielogic

Sad to see Leicester's great title winning side get dismantled.
And so far they don't seem to have found replacements that can offer the same quality & consistency.

Vardy may be off soon, with Mahrez gone the last bit of real attacking quality that could help him in that side is gone.

Big clubs will likely come calling for Maguire now given how well he's performed at the WC

I hope not. In this day and age there is no excuse for clubs to buy purely off World Cup performances. It would actually be quite idiotic.

You watch Leicester a lot, @SithLordDarthRichie how was Maguire last season? Is the WC an anomaly or his usual standard?

Yes, it's Real Madrid. And, sure, he did okay for Monaco. But he wasn't on anybody's radar before his incredible World Cup. And, let's be honest "Real Madrid" though could just as easily be "Jose Mourinho, though" when talking about terrible sums spent on transfers.

BTW - Yarmalenko off to West Ham for almost the entire fee spent on him. Not bad. Suckers.

I see Manchester Untied have invited the kids rescued from the cave to a match already. Haven't they suffered enough?

    From wiki

Sarri found himself embroiled in a heated exchange with Roberto Mancini, then head coach of Inter Milan, in the final minutes of a Coppa Italia match on 20 January 2016, where Mancini accused Sarri of being a homophobe.[11] Sarri responded to the accusations by affirming that he wasn't a homophobe, stating "what happens on the field, stays on the field".[12] Sarri was consequently fined €20,000 and banned for two Coppa Italia matches by Lega Serie A for "directing extremely insulting epithets at the coach of the opposing team".[13]

    And the source for [11]

    https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/jan/19/internazionale-napoli-roberto-mancini-maurizio-sari

tl;dr: Sarri called Mancini a faggot.
