so a disabled guy got mugged awhile back, and a random stranger girl set up a fund to raise money for him, and, through the power of social media, became wildly successful, with the guy ending up with like £330k raised. Story here:

which highlights 2 things to me:

1) even people who have been **** upon and yet had their life spectacularly changed by a single kind hearted soul -- can still be utter ****s; and

2) a single kind hearted soul can and will still attempt to maximise said kind heartedness to make money by going to a PR company to cynically maximise their said kind heartndness
