Star Trek: Reboot

Apparently J. Michael Straczynski ('Babylon 5', 'Jeremiah') & Bryce Zabel ('Dark Skies') presented this document as a reboot or reconceptualising of Star Trek, much as we've seen with the new BSG and Doctor Who.

While I'm not a Star Trek fan by any stretch of the imagination, if this document is for real, it's a fascinating idea. And I'd watch anything JMS threw together.

That Yoda bag, so cute. WAY too cute. it would make Stalin cute if he wore one.

And That Reboot idea for the original star trek...fills me with eqaul parts of curiosity and alarm. Curiosity because I wonder what a female scotty, and better FX would be like, after seeing the new BSG, and alarm because it is an excellent series to begin with, whereas the old BSG was fairy floss.

 

With that bag, one could run around and pretend to be Luke in the swamps of Degobah. I can imagine it now...

I like the point made in that artical about how the classic series did not require a holodeck to create more adventure, because they were already having adventures in every day life. Indeed, it would be intriguing to see a Star Trek redux.

 

I wonder if I could get one of those yoda bags and somehow incorporate it into my sister's baby bjorn, ready for the new sprog...
