M_S... Howard Shore would be turning in his grave if he was dead.

EDIT: And I'm warning you... If that thing gets stuck in my head, I'm going to frakin' kill you.

EDIT 2: Right. I'll be at your house in 10 minutes, M_S. *Grabs flashlight*

And when he's done, I'll revive M_S and do it all over again.

Just in case some of you poor saps don't already know and love it: Homestar Runner. Hopefully the reason it hasn't shown up in this thread is because it's just too damn obvious. I'm just lookin' out for y'all, just in case.

I'm on a big Homestar trip at the moment, for some reason, and I'm trawling through basically everything all over again (currently halfway through Strongbad's email back catalogue). Fun times.

"And remember: on a scale of one to awesome, I'm super-great."

    Ah, Homestar Runner... :)
If I wasn't at work I'd go clicky the link - but I don't think I'll try and destroy their bandwidth the second week into the job... >_>

    Strongbad's emails are great. Heheh.

Hah well this is true [face_thinking]

Judging by how slow this old box was running this morning I don't think I'll risk it however. I may just cause more inconvenience for myself than anyone else. :p

I remember some folks raving about Strongbad a few years ago. I checked it out then, and didn't find it all that funny. Haven't been back since, so maybe I should just to see if my tastes have changed.

The newer emails, especially since #100, are a lot better than the really old ones. I'd forgotten quite how funny they were till I was laughing hysterically at them last night. It's a matter of taste, and it does help to be familiar with the characters and running gags in order to get a lot of the jokes, but it is worth checking out if you thought the really old stuff was a bit naff.

I've been watching Strongbad E-Mails since #20... Or around there anyway not sure what the number actually was. It was about fishing though, still find it gut retching funny, but then it is silly and I like silly :D

The 10 Best Sci-Fi TV Show Openings

Although I wouldn't say 'Firefly' has the best opening ever (and I'll remind people it had an awkward opening monologue in its original broadcast), this guy recognises the awesomeness of 'The Greatest American Hero'.

    However:

The Ten Worst Sci-Fi TV Openings

While I'll admit the first two seasons of 'Babylon 5' had crappy intros, Season 3 onwards they're good. And while I'll admit I haven't had my coffee yet and am slightly grumpy, you do not dis 'Babylon 5'. It is the greatest sci-fi tv show ever made, and I'll take the mighty flashlight to anyone who says otherwise :p. Though watch the intro for Season 4; very similar to 'Firefly'.

Why FarScape didn't get mentioned on the best of list, I dunno. However an honourable mention should also go to 'Quantum Leap'.

However, the greatest credit sequence for any genre show ever is for the Greatest Jack of the Caribbean, 'Jack of All Trades. It's a silly, silly show, but you'll watch it just for that intro.

Finally, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention this. Technically it's spoilers for the 200th Episode of 'Stargate: SG-1', but they're fairly minor.

Still, images 2 and 3 warped my fragile little mind. Leather clad Dorothy??

    Be seeing you,

    Magnus Darcrider

You know, I adore Calvin and Hobbes, and I was preparing myself to be outraged at that, but it's actually really well done.

Here's one for the gamers. An absolutely histerical spoof of Apple's awful, patronising Mac vs PC ad campaign (which don't even work, as I find myself liking the 'PC guy' a hell of a lot more than the 'look at me, I'm so hip Mac guy', but I digress).

Playstation 3 vs Wii. I'm more convinced than ever.

In fact... I think I'll go watch it again... and again...

Proof that they'll have to pry the keyboard and mouse from my cold dead hands, I found both of those women unappealing as metaphors for consoles.

    Still, hilarious.
