After seeing a thread regarding Mr. Bond, and which actor portrayed him the best, I thought I should post a thread regarding the best and worst Bond MOVIE.

Since their are nearly 20 Bond movies (as long as you don't count Casino Royale and Never Say Never Again) I have decided to split this into four categories: The Connery films, the Moore films, the Brosnan films, and the other films (Dalton and Lazenby).

    Here are my picks:

    CONNERY:
    Best: Goldfinger
Worst: From Russia With Love (too boring)

    MOORE:
Best: The Spy Who Loved Me
    Worst: Moonraker (Bond in space?)

    BROSNAN:
    Best: Goldeneye
Worst: World Is Not Enough (only because of Denise Richards)

    OTHERS:
    Best: Living Daylights
Worst: On Her Majesty's Secret Service (only because of Lazenby)

The best Bond film will be the one in which I play Bond.

Eeep! I think I need to see more Bond movies.

Of the ones I've seen, my favorite is Tomorrow Never Dies (The parking garage sequence is one of my favorites of the entire series...)

I've always been partial to Octopussey. It has the best opening song with "All time High" Cool vilains, not to mention a private island of women.

Mike Mothma, thanks for dividing the films into different categories, so that we can get rid of the better Bond discussion.

    Connery
Best From Russia with love (I love the end)
    Worst Dr. No

    Moore
Best I can't choose between Octopussy and A view to a kill

    Brosnan
Best Goldeneye (except for the music)
    Worst Tomorrow Never Dies

    Other
Best Living Daylights (it's the only good one of the others)
Worst (this is a really hard choice)On her majesty's secret service.

Have you heard that they started to shoot the new Bond last week btw?

    You call yourselves Bond fans?

You forgot to list Never Say Never Again.

Sure, it's a remake of Thunderball and it's not an MGM film but it is a Bond Movie. Don't forget it.

The best Bond music video is the Duran Duran one. I think it was "A view to a kill", big hair and the music video was even more exciting than the movie. :p

I have to watch all of them at a go to decide, which is something I promised myself to do one of these days... ;)

Well, From Russia With Love is probably one of the best of all time. Its a true spy game.

Goldfinger of course is a classic.

Thunderball, another one of my faves.

OHMSS, eventhough it has Lazenby its still a good one.

Wow, On Her Majesty's Secret Service is actually one of my favorite Bond films. To each his own, I guess.

    My favorite Connery: Dr No

Favortie Moore: Moonraker (believe it or not)

    I don't feel that Dalton's or Bronsan's compare.

    Connerry:
    Best: Goldfinger
Worst: Too hard to call as all connerry flicks are excellent but id have to go with Diamonds are forever.

    Moore:
Best: For Your Eyes Only (one of the best plots and The Hottest bond girl)
Worst: Moonraker(could be one of the worst movies of all time)

    Dalton:
    both movies were rather bland

    Brosnan;
    Best Goldeneye
Worst The world is not enough
While he makes a good bond the movies lack something

    Best of the Rest
On her majesty's secret service. Possibly my favorite bond flick and defiantely the most underrated. Lazenby does a good job in my opinion. The flick also has an excellent plot, a bevy of beauties, bond pretends he is gay, and its the only movie where he shows his emotions. He actually is in love.
The best line "This never happened to the other fellow"
Also the soundtrack is great to drive to.
Thunderball: So over the top its great plus youve got domino, who is friggin gorgeous.

    live and let die:
second best moore movie, with cool villains jane seymour at her hottest and bond takes her virginity. Plus he goes to seventies harlem, doesnt get much cooler.

    Worst:
A view to a kill, despite christopher walken a very weak movie.
the Spy who loved me, i hated when they tried to make it tooo campy

Well I never thought that Lazenby was really bad, but somehow I didn't like the feeling of OHMSS, I mean look at the clothes and the background character, naw it's a bit too far from what I want from a Bond movie.

You know, even though I posted OHMSS as the "worst of the others", I still thought it was a good Bond movie, although a very different Bond movie. The producers took a chance with this one, having Bond fall in love, only to have his wife killed at the end. Not a happy ending at all. It really is an underated movie, and I retract my earlier statements.

I agree with Moonraker being one of the worst movies ever made. For Your Eyes Only I think was Moore's second best. One thing about the Roger Moore era: It had the best music! A View To A Kill, For Your Eyes Only, and Nobody Does It Better (from TSWLM).

    Connery
    Best - Thunderball and Goldfinger
Worst - Diamonds are forever. Although I liked Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd, the plot was terrible.

    Moore
Best - The spy who loved me and For your eyes only
Worst - Moonraker and The man with the golden gun

    Brosnan
Best - Goldeneye and TWINE. I love them both!
Worst - Tomorrow never dies. It was actually quite good, but not as enjoyable as the others.

    Others
Hated them all. Both the Dalton ones were boring and OHMSS was too long. Lazenby and Dalton never seemed like Bond to me. Also, the villians in the Dalton ones were weak.

    Best songs
TWINE, Goldeneye, Nobody does it better, Live and let die, and my absolute favorite View to a kill. :)
