Something Sinre said about The Mandalorian Plot brought this to mind. I'm sure it will apply to more episodes that just that one though.

Sinre mentioned how great an episode dealing with the Mandalorian warrior assualting the Republic Cruiser would have been on its own. I must say I completely agree. That would have been very fresh, introduced numerous new characters and a significant Mandalorian character as well.

What other stories, extrapolated from partial plots of The Clone Wars, would you like to see?

How about a gang war between Ziro and Jabba? Aayla and Vos seems an obvious one as well in some way, shape or form. Maybe an episode dedicated to Palptine stregthening his ties with Yularen a little?

I'd rather this thread NOT focus on "I'd like to see an episode wher X goes to Y" and all that stuff. We have other threads for that. How about we use this thread to focus on this neat idea of episodes that would explore a minor point presented in an episode. IE, this idea of showing that hologram Mando's mission, or maybe showing how those bounty hunters lost their heads in TCW movie...

So like expanding small things from episodes we might've wanted to see/know more of?

Just a few things that come to mind.. Maybe they couldn't work as full episodes, but they could've used more time.

-More on Jango Jumpers and why Cassie wanted to be as powerful as a Jedi.

    -Explanation of Cato's sword-fighting abilities.

-Where the odd flirting thing began with Obi-Wan and Asajj.

-What happened to the kids in Children of the Force. Were they given to the Jedi or did they stay with their parents?

-Some reasonable backstory to explain the Senate Spy issues, to ease people's annoyance.

Isn't that what I suggested? If we're gonna be that picky I'll just lock the thread.

I wanted to get this in just in case it's locked. XD

"Don't look at me...it's Boost, sir. He only takes a bath when he's on leave!"
"Save it! Just keep working on the pod, not your jokes!"

DOES Boost take a bath when he's only on leave? Does Sinker work on his jokes with his down time? [face_thinking]

What happened to Obi-wan and Anakin in between Dooku Captured and Gungan General.

My current theory is they just got wasted... no poison neccessary. Either the drinks were really, really strong or they are just a couple of lightweights. Thoughts?

Obi-Wan's no lightweight! He was drinking in the Outlander Club! :p

My ultimate Clone Wars episode would involve Saesee Tiin (just cause he's cool) sneaking around a Separatist planet, and passing upon a political rally where Dooku is rallying a huge crowd of loyalists. Not only do I want to see what a Separatist crowd would look like, but I'd like to see Dooku doing what he does best: acting as an inspiring leader. Gunray, Grievous and the whole gang would be on hand, and Grievous would be praised as the "proud warrior" General leading the armies.

It would be a cross between Saruman addressing the armies of Uruk-Hai and Indy running into Hitler in Berlin.

Yes, that is what you suggested. But some of your episode ideas might have been misinterpreted, so I just wanted to make the intent of this thread very clear. LawJedi, for example, didn't seem to grasp the idea of this thread. There's certainly no need to lock it, as I think it's a pretty neat idea. However, anyone just wanting to post an episode idea, that's not an expansion of an element present in an existing episode, should use the TCW Episode Idea Thread.

For example, one episode that never was, that eventually WAS made, is Hidden Enemy. The idea being "I'd like to see them expand on the events of the battle of Christophsis before the beginning of the movie. Why wasn't General Loathsom expecting the Republic to have any sort of artillery? Why were they so badly in need of reinforcements?".

I agree, an episode dealing with Hondo trying to knock Ani and Obi out would have been great for a comedic episode. Involving ever more elaborate traps to ensnare them and Hondo's ever growing impatience. And then a simple act gets them captured, involving THE MONKEY LIZARD!!![face_skull] ;)

The one thing that I've -always- wondered about is: how did the Sepppies get Goldie onboard a republic ruiser? Did they reprogram a republic droid, or did they slip a whole new droid into the republic forces? Did they know it was going to be Anakin's new astromech? Or was it just coincidence? Did they have help from inside the republic forces? If so, who? Etc. Etc. Seems like it should make for a great infiltration episode.

Of course, the ultimate manifestation of this is the "prison break" episode that's implied by the capture of Separatists, including at least one who is back in action by ROTS.

It's been mentioned before that Ki-Adi's deleted scene attack on the Trade Federation ships on Geonosis would be cool to finally see; the Geonosis arc would have been the obvious time to show it.

I'd be curious to see the fallout that would occur if Anakin's adventure in strangulation was ever discovered--and maybe a Jedi War tribunal trying him?

Oh, the old "doped up on cough medicine" excuse won't do. You come up with a real contribution to this thread or I'm having your posting license suspended! ;)

This is the one I really feel is missing from The Clone Wars. It was easy enough to dismiss Ziro's ultimate fate as the stuff of backstory until Cad Bane broke him out of prison, but with that episode, I believe a host of interesting issues were raised without being properly addressed. I would think Ziro would prefer to be in a Republic prison, since being outside gives Jabba a better shot at him. In fact, throughout the whole prison break episode, I was thinking that Jabba was behind Cad Bane's mission, not Dooku, and that what looked like a rescue was going to become an assasination. Especially at the very end, when Ziro gets in that speeder that's connected to Bane's by power couplings, I thought Bane was going to deactivate those couplings and send Ziro falling to his death. In addition to being a neat twist, it would have made Bane seem more like a real bounty hunter/independent mercenary, because he would have been working for an independent element of the underworld, instead of for Dooku, like basically all the other bad guys in The Clone Wars. Well, that will never be, so now I wish they'd just do a new episode in which Jabba goes after Ziro.

Well, I would like to no why Ziro was in a Republic prison instead of enjoying Jabba's hospitality.

Also how Bane got off Coursicant and into a Sep fleet.

Also, I am not sure if this counts, but I heard that the Clone Wars comic is based around ideas for stories that never got made into episodes. In which case, Slaves of the Republic and Hero of the Confederacy would have made excellent episodes.

I believe Slaves was one that Henry wanted to do as a show but the arc was too big for TV so he put it out as a comic. Of course he could have just been getting people to want to buy it. ;)

I'd like to see an explanation in the Hidden Enemy as to what happened with the Christophsis defence force. We saw them in the news reel, but then they didn't show up again.

Wouldn't it be useful for the jedi to hire some local guides?

Ziro helped in kidnapping Rotta but he was not personally involved in carrying it out so maybe the crimes he perpetrated on Coruscant took precedence and he had to stay there. It could also have been some meddling from Palpatine to keep Ziro in a Republic prison. Jabba may have wanted to kill Ziro but Palpatine may have wanted to keep him around so he or his operation could provide support for the Separatists in the future, or if it became necessary to take on the Hutts again.

I know this episode has no Anakin or Obi-Wan, but I still really like Episode 10 of Season 1 - The Lair of General Grievous! I think because we see a lot more info and background where Grievous came from. His true natural form because he was constructed into his current cyborg body.
And the lightsaber battles between grievous and kit fisto and his former apprentice nadar(sp?)

True... if Jabba got his hands on Ziro it would have been curtains. It's too early in the series to start bumping
off recurring characters, and Ziro has plenty of potential.

By the way, what part of Tatooine is Ziro from... Louisianna or Mississippi? [face_laugh]

Considering Capote's own upbringing, I would think that Louisiana is a perfect fit for Ziro, who celebrates Mardi Gras every day!
