Kotor 1 for me although it is a close match. I enjoyed the rogue squadron games on the Nintendo consoles a lot. And some of the real time strategy ( rts ) games have been good ( galactic battlegrounds and empire at war ) But they are getting dated these days. If a new Star Wars games is to be made I would prefer a new real time strategy game. The only new star wars games I have heard about have been the yoda chronicles and 1313 so not exactly a lot to look forward to in my opinion
Tie Fighter was amazing. It took alot of work but I managed to get it to run on my Windows 7 machine, so once again, I can take great joy in lining up and X-Wing in my sights, shouting "Where's your Force now, punk?!" and wasting him.
The X-Wing series certainly should of been on the list, TIE Fighter will always be my favorite Star Wars game of all time. If only we had the nearly lag free internet connections now back when X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter came out, might of actually been able to played through Balance of Power's entire Co-Op campaign.
I remember being impressed how many far more durable fighters I could carve up in a basic TIE series, but then you got your hands on the Avenger, Defender, and Missile Boat. Still love that one training officer line - "So, you want to play with the big dogs, eh?"
Battlefront series. Never played the KOTOR series since I don't have an X-Box. X-Wing 2 Rogue Leader was great as well. Can't forget the Lego games either.
If you played on PC, you had a better experience; the graphic were vastly superior and you weren't playing on a console so you had the capacity to string a sentence together without racism or sexism.
Story and Writing: KOTOR 2 - possibly the best SW story I've ever seen. Overall fun: KOTOR - KOTOR1 was the more entertaining game.
KOTOR 1 and 2. I love them both equally. They had everything you could ever ask for in a star wars game.
No, they didn't. At least TOR had a great narrative for non-force users. Jedi are boring. Flatly, they are boring. It's like a paladin in D&D; you should be limited to a Lawful Good alignment (but, Gen Y kids like Jedi and being chaotic good because Gen Y is crap) and that limits your choices. I loved that my Scoundrel in TOR could get light or dark side points based on his own personal code and not based on rigid dogma. So, whilst KOTOR had a decent storyline that greatly enhanced the TOTJ era mythology, it can't be the best ever.
well i like all of them, except for galaxies, dark forces, jedi knight as ive never played them, but i really love EAW, battlefront and KOTOR 1 and 2 comes second
You haven't played Dark Forces or Jedi Knight? Pls quit the Games forum and only come back when you are less of a nub.
Knights of the old republic is my favorite Star Wars Game with Battlefront 2 being in second place and Force Unleashed in 3rd place.
The original KOTOR is my favourite SW game, with KOTOR 2 being a close second. If only they'd remake both games in the amazing graphics we get now.
