"Rebellion?" You mean *worst* game right? I love strategy, and that game was the proverbial as-exciting-as-watching-paint-dry.

BTW, anybody heard of a good paint-drying simulator for PC?

NES: Lifeforce, Trojan, Mario Bros 1, 2 and 3, star wars, cobra triangle, metroid, Zelda

SNES: Super Star Wars, Super TESB, Super Mario World, Super Metroid, Zelda 3

PC: Tie Fighter/Xwing, Jedi Outcast, StarCraft, Quake (how do you finish the final level though?), Sim City, Space Quest 3.

N64: Goldeneye, Mario 64, Lylat Wars. That's it. Boy those games sucked

Personal favourite would have to be "Zelda 3"

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Best ever side-scrolling game. Takes everything taht was good about the original Castlevania games and makes them better. If you have a PSX try as hard as you can to find this and play it.

    I disagree about Castlevania:SOTN.

I own it and I find it to be very overrated. The designers of the game were not very thoughtful in creating the game, and went waay overboard on most every front. There are too many boss's that are incredibly easy and derivative. There are many more weapons, and other items than one could possibly want or need. Using the same castle twice was lame. Finally, the game was WAY WAY TOO EASY. It is a fun game, but they skimped out on many important things, and spent too much time coming up with 100 different types of weapons for the game, bosses that are incredibly easy haphazardly scattered about the castle in between the few truely challenging ones...etc.

Sorry, I just get upset when that game gets overrated to high hell.

Ocarina Of Time was similarily too easy, and had some design flaws. Who would have thought the final dungeon would have been the easiest?

Pong may be the "Adam" of video games but I would hardly call it the best... IMHO :)

I would also like to say that Rebellion is a good game, although I haven't played it for years. It was great strategy though.
Did anyone ever try to play MP on that baby? FREAKING TOOK FOREVER MAN!!!

Where Kryptonite bullets were available at the local Walmarts... Hulk for the Gameboy was bad too. Since when does a 150lb guy punching the Hulk do damage?

Metal Gear Solid. No Emma, Raiden, or bird doopy. You get to fight Ocelot, punch Liquid in the face and see Otacon wet his pants. Best game ever.

Without a doubt, the best video game I have ever played is The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Everything about it was perfect, graphics, gameplay, and especially the storyline. Too bad Nintendo had to go and ruin the series.

My runner-ups would have to be Mario 3, Street Fighter II Turbo (Snes), and Shenmue (DC).

This is way to hard! I've been playing video games for the last 20 years, but in that time (i'm sounding old here!), the ones that I can remember made a huge impact on me and that I played avidly for hours on end are:

Raiders Of the Lost Ark (Atari)
    Pacman (Arcade)
    Asteroids (Arcade)
    Street Fighter II (Arcade)
    Empire Strikes Back (atari)
    Football Manager II (Spectrum)
    Chase HQ (Spectrum)
    Target Renegade (Spectrum)
    Renegade (Spectrum)
    Yie Ar Kung Fu (Spectrum)
Way of the Exploding Fist (spectrum)
    Kung Fu Master (Arcade)
STAR WARS (Arcade game (my all time fav arcade game)
    Skateboard 360 or 720 (spectrum)
+ All the wrestling games you can think of

Hell I could bore you all day with 80's games so I'll stop there.

    Recent favourites:
    Half Life (PC)
    Tie Fighter (PC)
    Medal of Honour Frontline (PS2)
    Tomb Raider I (PS)
    Settlers (Amiga)
    Civilization I and II (Amiga)
    Populous (Amiga)
    Super Mario Kart (SNES)

Well, hope some of you remember those games (especially the Spectrum ones)
