    Whoa...

That explains a lot then. So what of Zelda then? I thought she would be trapped or whatever.

Command and Conquer Red Alert 2. And Yuri's Revenge. Sure, they're kinda cheesy, but it's still pretty cool.

The Storyline for STAR WARS: KNIGHTS OF HTE OLD REPUBLIC. One of the best storylines ever, and all the sub-story lines made it ever better.

JM201: Zelda went back in time just like Link. She, Link, Ganon, and the Sages were the only ones to retain any memory of what happened, due to their connections with the Triforce and the Sacred Realm.

Sorry to say this but you're wrong, OoT basicly has two endings. One adult Link ending, the one with the big celebration. The Wind Waker is a sequel to the future time line ending.
And there's the kid Link ending, all the other Zelda games are a sequel to this one.

    Adult Link ending...? Oy.

Ok, so why are there two endings? Where's the consistency in that? :p And why have I not seen this ending? (Unless it's just where it shows the credits and all the characters from the game, but I thought Link was young in that.)

Well perhaps saying that there's two different endings is wrong :p But basicly there are now different timelines. One is the timeline where Hyrule is all destroyed and Ganondorf is put into a seal (adult link) and the other one is young link timeline.

Basicly The Wind Waker is a sequel to the adult Link timeline and all the Zelda games are a sequel to the young Link timeline.

I need to find the interview where some official guy said that :)

Jedi Knight is my current favorite storyline. I liked Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine, too, but not as much as JK.

I am hoping KotoR is good, too.

Oh, and Myst rocks as well. I want the new Myst game, hehe.

I don't think consistency is a priority when Nintendo makes Zelda games.

I can't believe no one mentioned Half-Life. That go major props seeing how it was one of the few scientifically correct games--well, maybe not exactly correct, but it A: doesnt screw the laws of physics (cough, Zelda, cough) and B: It is a PLAUSIBLE storyline. Especially the gov's "cleanup"

props to max payne 1 and 2 also.

    uh...time travel?

uh...it's a fantasy (note: not realistic) it doesn't need to follow the law of physics.

Wouldn't the gaming world be kind of boring if games desperately clinged to the pointless notion of maintaining a sense of what we feel to be reality?

sure, but if you have a fantasy that is TOO fantastical, aka time traveling and messing with physics, then how can you love the story? half of loving a soryline for me is the ability for that sotry to possibley happen.

Yeah, Starcraft did have a a pretty good plot.

Man, Kerrigan may be hot and all, but I was really pissed when I saw the end of Brood Wars.

At first I was like "Oh, yeah, I am a Terran Badass.", Then I was like "Stupid Duran...", Then I was like "Great. I did all that and it ends up like this. Stupid Zerg."
