*dusts off account* Wow, it has been a while, guys! Kind of odd posting this, since the very next locked topic proclaims the FanForce as 'alive and kicking'... well, hopefully you realize by now that the parent group, the Alabama Star Wars Syndicate, dissolved years ago, and with it the FanForce front we held up. It's been a great few years, but with the news of a new movie, several former members of the group are very interested in getting the FanForce back up and running. What do you guys think? Does Birmingham deserve/need/desire a casual, social Star Wars group? One that is open, kid-friendly, and simple way to get together and share excitement over the new movie(s)? No need for a costume or a huge knowledge of Star Wars - something everyone can (hopefully) enjoy? As the current FanForce rep, I am willing to facilitate this revival and see where it goes, if we get some interest going here. What do you say, nerf herders?
So far, I have myself and Charlie (jediCharlie). Not quite enough to get a group going. If you're out there, speak up! We want to get some social gatherings going soon so we can get this ball rolling.
