So you joined in '11 eh? What about this place got your attention? I mean, how'd you find it?

 

I lurked around LACWAC

 

I found out about this site back in the 90's when it was run by the Texas A&M guys. I used to at least lurk in the forums, can't remember, but I may have even had an account once. Came back now that I'm reading again.

 

What is LACWAC again? I never remember these things...

 

Very cool Runner. Ever find out what that first account may have been or do you plan on trying to find out?

I wouldn't know how. Most likely would have been username camisa, but likely under discontinued e-mail addy. If I even had one. I may have just lurked. Did that for a while this spring/summer.

 

I don't understand why people do that. Although I was introduced by a rl friend so...

That's my reasoning JM, gotta know if it's worth signing up. This forum is much friendlier than most I have seen.

 

Ah good idea. I'd not thought of that. I actually should have before joining another forum but didn't. End result? I don't go there anymore. *shrug*

 

This place is the only forum I've been a part of in my life

 

I have been a part of this one, multiple offshoot ones and three or four others. That's it.

 

I've been quite active over at runner's world. People there can get really snippy and are competitive, you have to learn to tune out some members. Had a great group over there for a while, but I'm at a different place in my life right now.

 

I've only been to a few myself.

 

I just want to say I'm thankful to be part of this group here and I love you guys
