    one of the guys who i work with says its about 42.

    but its about 37, according to various websites.

    Yeah, the news over here just confirmed the temp as 45 in adelaide. Poor girl.

    And on top of this extreme heat, they've closed down our train services for a month (completely city wide) and the buses they bought in to replace them DO NOT have air conditioning.......people are complaining big time. Me? I figure 20 years ago, or less actually, no trains or buses had air con, neither did cars. I remember driving home from work only 17 years ago in 44C without Air Con in my car...windows down. I was raised with none. Dad used to set up fans in teh passage to blow into our rooms at night and that was all we got in the summer.....so when I hear kids of today complaining about lack of Air Con I have to wonder if this generation are a bunch of wimps. :p

    EDIT: Dont feel sorry for me, I cleaned the carpets today and stripped all the beds and washed their sheets/quilt covers. Cooking a roast for dinner....heat is meaning little to me. ;)

    oh yeah.

    I'm 24, and i can tell you we can't live without technology.

    I can, i know that. I think its great when you go on holidays, or out to regions where there is no phone service, no computers, or anything like that.

    I like my computer, but that's about it. I hardly use my mobile, hardly watch TV and read or sew alot. Oh, did some sewing today as well! Watered the veggie garden and made hot dogs for lunch for the kids! Husband has lay on the lounge complaining about the heat and watching the cricket all day! He's asleep now and I just put the veggies in the oven to be roasted. Its hot....so what? :p ;)

    And here in the UK it has'ent rained for a couple of days, which is a record for us, especially since it rained all over Xmas:p
