Ok, newbie question: What's point of locking threads at 10,000 posts anyway?

 

I believe the ban is lifted at 1:21 or so today. And we are all losers. Deal with it.

 

bandwith most likely has to deal with it, but hey dont take my word, im still a noob too

 

When 10,000 posts is reached, it is customary to start a new thread, an, when that happens, you are supposed to lock the old thread, so, lets see how many posts we can get in b4 we get locked....

Lokced threads stay on the boards, so it has nothing to do with band width...

 

The reason we do that is because the thread starts glitching after 10,000.
