While I work on the battleship, a bit of my design choice. First, we have the Dreadnought which I posted earlier:



The main reason I like this one, is the nice symmetry of the design. You have a uniform hull shape, with the exception of a raised portion of the bow sticking out further. Compare it to this:



The USS Iowa. It has far too thin a bow, coupled with a rather...well...fat stern, compared to the bow. Not symmetrical at all...better design certainly, but it doesn't...click quite the same.

 

It looks like a wingless dragonfly. The Iowa.

 

I happen to find the Iowa class design to be absolutely gorgeous.
