I used to be embarassed when I was little because all my friends would ask me why I didn't believe in God and I never had a good answer for them. It was very awkward.

 

It's pretty normal where I'm from to be atheist, I just wasn't raised in any particular religion. It's not considered polite to talk about religion openly here and at home which is how I like it so I don't have to worry about offending for my atheism. Religion just isn't my thing, but I'm cool if it's yours

Anyhow, I could really use some Canadian iced tea right now, who wants to ship some to Sweden?

I was raised a Christian (Baptist, to be exact), but nowadays I'm leaning more towards Pantheism. It's just mindboggling how so many religions say they worship a different God, yet in all actuality they all seem to be the same God with different interpretations.

Also, I'm not religious, not at all. I'm just faithful. There's a difference.

As far as religion goes....I'm in a state of transition. I was raised Southern Baptist, and kind of got turned off by one of the churches we attended. Haven't been really religious since. To paraphrase a great Jedi, I'll try to concern myself with right action, and let religion take care of itself.

 

I get a lot of flak for being religious up here in CT, but I remain a proud Catholic anyways.

I can't find any sweet iced tea here, okay, I miss it a lot I don't drink coffee so that's usually how I get my caffeine.

 

That's so interesting Becca, my mom has always told me Iced Tea was a southern thing. Yet you drink it and your from Canada.

I was raised to go to church and went to a Mennonite College. Turns out Mennonites are not very welcoming to those who were not raised Mennonite. Really enjoyed college for the most part, but guess what I left there a different person than anyone would have expected going in.

 

You see, I don't make a big deal about religion for a simple reason. If you are an atheist in say...the Southern US, you get picked on by the religious type. But if you are religious in a mostly atheist area, you are 'ignorant!! Believe in a fake guy in the sky!!!'. So I tend to avoid discussions on it

 

It might have started as a southern thing, but it's a staple in Canada, or at least in Vancouver. Though we have a sweet iced tea, not sure if it's the same in the south.

 

DANG IT!!!! What's with this weekend?! Ugh. I'll be back. Gotta go move another body...*sigh*

 

I chuckle every time I read this, because I can never remember it's your job.
