    I just found out my younger sister is moving to the other side of the States at the end of September to live with her girlfriend and girlfriend's mom, with no set job situation nor a clear vision for school for the future. I'm quite upset.

    My little sister still has no good set job situation, she is married and in her mid 30's, her husband's situation in my opinion worse. They inherited a house and get by. Let your sister follow her dreams and wish her the best ;)

    I'm having a decent weekend so far.

    I'm sorry SWpants [:D] all you can really do is hope she will be happy. It will be easier on you both if she feels your love and support, then hopefully if it doesn't work out she will move back.

    ^I hate to say it, but I hope so. I just don't like my family being so far from me. That's 100% selfishness; for what she wants to do (costuming/set design/etc), CA is the best place for her. I suggested it! But this news just came today so I have a lot less time than her initial decision to move there in January.

    Anedon not really :( Not only are plane tickets not always cheap, but as a teacher I can't just request time off like I could have when I was working at a theater.

    Well, thank goodness for social media and phones and Skype and such. I can't imagine living pre-phones in this situation.

    That's very sad but maybe you can visit them in the school holidays.
    And I don't think its selfish, everyone wants to stay close to their loved ones.
