    I'm just curious & not upset. From the outside looking in (hell from the inside looking in), there is a lot that has been warped over the years.
    Now. With regards to the available foods. THEY are bloody delicious.

    You definitely have to look beyond the "reason" we celebrate. Thanksgiving has never been about the founding father's of this nation getting along with the people they found here. It's just been about spending time with family.

    I don't like turkey :p
    My in-laws though will typically cook me a small chicken breast or steak which is totally unnecessary and yet delicious. I'd be grateful with corn and beans and taters!

    Master_Rebado - I'm sorry that it sounded like I was upset/irritated! I was trying to make it not seem that way.

    For my gang it’s a family day with a big meal, with loads left over for the next day, and games. It’s nice for everyone to be off work and spending time together.

    Chicken is so common. I eat it 3 -6 times a week. I only eat turkey on Thanksgiving, that makes it special.

    We have chicken at least twice a week, beef once, lamb once and pork once. And it varies for the other two days....


    Local Catholic school is in strife. They Put a new statue in front of the school this week and it's already been covered up due to 'social media uproar' over it.........what do you guys think?

    That was the intention of the statue, St Dominic I think, but those with 'dirty minds' have given this statue an entirely new spin. The School is Black Friars.

    This was it this morning and then this afternoon they put a full black surround around the whole thing. Apparently they are redesigning it.
