Happy almost Valentine's Day. I stopped by the store and got my 3 guys some surprises for the morning. I'm excited for them to wake up and find them. But we gotta go to bed first, then I gotta get up early and set them out

 

I loved Valentine's Day as a kid. (Except for candy hearts).
That was the only time that "everyone gets a 'prize'" in school was 100% okay. No one felt left out.

That's interesting. You must have a nice collection. Knightfall sure is great isn't it? Conversely, I never read comics when I was a kid. And from 7th-12th grade I had multiple hours of homework every night, so when I was done with that I socialized with friends or watched movies. No energy left for reading!

Anyhow, I mainly got into comics about 8 years ago. I really like the new SW Darth Vader series and the first few volumes of the main SW line are great too.

Anyhow, Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

 

I also got into comics more recently. Well 2012 is not recent now that I think of it but you get what I mean. It's funny I never even really cared much for superhero shows and movies when I was a kid. And now they dominate my life.

 

I can relate. When I was a kid, Star Wars and superhero media were just a minor fraction of all the topics/subjects I was interested in. I think it's because I had so much homework, music studies, sports, and socializing going on that I couldn't even find the time to pick up a comic book or an EU novel, regrettably.

Honestly though, when you have to write a 10 page paper on a complex Faulkner novel like "As I Lay Dying", there is no time to read a SW EU novel. Or when your Pre-Calculus teacher is assigning over an hours worth of homework per night just for that one class, there is no time to read Batman comics. Same with history classes and all.

Finally, I am able to read fun books and comics that I never had the chance to growing up.

 

Not much is truly “just for kids.”

 

What about the cereal Trix? They keep telling the silly rabbit it's for kids.

 

That cat is just great. Also the last panel is most likely what we all think you do.

 

Seriously, "Take On Me" has always been one of my faves. Good song and great video. Bet most of you were squalling brats (if that) when it came out, though!

As my step-father is wont to say, "you'll always be a kid to me." So it works! We're all SOMEONE's kid!

Stargate is back and I am so happy.

(SG: Origins is free on the website MGM set up for Stargate stuff. If you have a membership, at least, you can watch the three episodes released so far)

This being said, it was billed as an SG-1 prequel, but without spoiling anything...if it isn't a reboot I'll eat my hat.

Just finished Star Trek Discovery. Need 2nd season asap!

 

Put fuel in my vehicle and was only met with one dangerous/reckless driver on VD. Thoughts and prayers are for the praying thoughtless.

Chocolate in flowers? Sounds kind of gross, actually. Roses are pretty, but I bet the petals would taste really bad.
