My company requires all of management to help with factory inventory during shutdown every year, so I only have 2-3 days I have to work in the heat anymore, thankfully. Problem is shutdown is in August.

 

I'm currently prepping for another fieldwork in the Arctic this summer, so all of this talk about work in high temps is wierdly making me feel jealous.
The grass is always greener, I guess...

 

What is the coldest temperature you have experienced up there?

 

We only go during the time window of a few weeks in then high summer, so it's not bad, from -7 to 3-4 C. But the wind and the fog can make that very unpleasant.

 

Oooh are we complaining about weather? Can i bust in with my -50C winters?

Actually didn't get too much of that this year, mostly -30s. Easy winter haha.

DW, there's loving winter, but there's a limit lol. The limit is usually when the frostbite time is less then a minute of exposure haha

No thankee sai, I can't barely tolerate 15F winters. I'd teach online school at that point, and stay in my cozy home.
