Funny story, I went to Disney and got a mister spray bottle for the heat, which then was used as a deterrent back home. My one cat, however, put holes in it. I still don't know how he chewed through that thick of plastic.

 

I have an old super soaker that I use. My kids have some of the newer Nerfed "super soakers" though. Those aren't as good, but for feline deterant usage they serve their purpose

 

Imagining cats running from super soakers with their "I swear I didn't do it!" look is extremely amusing

 

Good times. I hunted her all over the house that day. Every time she came out of a hidey hole she got soaked. shabla cat.

OK, I can't really blame her. She was a rescued stray that had been left behind/abandoned by her previous owners. She had been front declawed and spent some time on her own before the shelter got to her. She also used to turn over garbage cans looking for a meal (despite the full food dish) because she was accustomed to scavenging. So she was just doing what she had gotten used to doing to survive. But she couldn't do it any longer so she got soaked. Now she is the very model of proper behavior, except for trying to fight one of the other cats every now and then.

 

Cats fight each other all the time. If that's all they do, you are a good cat parent.

My one cat was also like that. He still tries to scavenge, but he's too fat to jump on counters. So he eats crumbs off the floor and then promptly throws them up. He still hasn't learned....sigh.

My other cat flosses his teeth with the cheap drapes, my mum originally complained about it but they are only $10 and he's the only cat without dental issues. So she just buys the crinkly version and replaces them every few months.

Your cats sound like angels compared to mine, lol

 

Our "rowdy" cat died a few years ago. I had raised her from the time she was a kitten, she was a great cat. The de-clawed one was her "replacement." We have two other cats that are mostly well behaved. One is a lap cat and craves any human attention, the other is more of a loner. All in all the three of them are pretty good now.

I would, cats are awesome. So are dogs. Even fish are awesome.

 

We had a fish, his name was Flushy. He lived up to his name.

 

Mine were named Fishy I - III , then Ryu-Lin (I don't know why that changed). I also named a goldfish Ophelia, but...it died the next day. I learned to never name your pets after Shakespearean tragedy characters.

 

My daughter won Flushy at the county fair. He/she/it lived for about a year and a half before finally requiring a burial at sea. Not bad for a carny fish.

if the fist is put into a proper size tank with a proper filter,they can live for 10 years plus...

 

This was a county fair goldfish, we weren't going to waste money on filters and whatnot. Shabla thing is lucky it got a fishbowl.

if I did win one, it'll be stuck inside with my oscar, he wouldn't last the night

Of course. When I was in 7th grade we had a class piranha. Everyone could take a week volunteering to feed the thing feeder fish. That was fun.

'twas. Technically it belonged to the teacher's son, but since he was in our class he got to bring it in.
