On topic? Please, allow this newcomer to your Club.

Borsk Fey'la is - without a doubt - the most efficent, skilled and intelligent of all the Politicians in the EU.

And yet, he was constantly taken down in his pursuits by the evil and corrupt Skywalker extended family.
Despite this, he still managed to gain control of the Republic as the Chief of State; where he served against the Yuuzhan Vong, working his magic to help protected the Core and the Republic: a plan that would of worked if not for once again, the meddling of the Skywalker/Solo family.

In the end, he was forced to gracefully serve in the ultimate of sense: sacrifice himself to help cripple the Yuuzhan Vong ground forces in defense of Imperial Centre, adding another heroic Martyr to the annuls of Bothan history.

A tale of one Bothan who in history has no Republician peer...

except perhaps one. One who likewise, managed to gain control of the Republic and change it for the better, during a time of galactic turmoil.
Who likewise, was destroyed in the end by the meddling of the evil Skywalker/Solo Clan.

I speak of course, of HIM Chancellor Palpatine.

To similar stories: to great figures in history.

Now, new topic: let us compare and contrast these people, their ideals, their history.

There doesn't seem to be very much interest or discussion in this thread and yet it's always bobbing around the first page.

If thread isn't on-topic and happily discussing Borsk-related issue in a weeks time, it's going to be locked.

Borsk Fey'lya died heroically though slobagog...everyone dies, and the death of Borsk was the most fitting tribute to such a grand character as I could of thought of.

He was a true politican and patriot of the Republic to the end: but his natural bothan feral predatory instincts took over, and he become one of the NJO era's most renowned war heroes.
