Lewis would be the perfect fighter for Haye to study....same style, same trainer, tall, strong...etc


As for aggression, Steward teaches tall fighters to fight big...meaning jab, grab, and never crouch down. No fighter out there has made Wlad fight, since Samuel Peter...even then, Wlad went back to his jab and out pointed Peter.

Lewis would have been viewed as one of the greatest if he fought like he did in the second Rahman fight, for his whole career.

Any way...I hope this is a good fight....I am more excited about what is to come....I cant wait for the HBO 24/7 documentary to start the Hatton/Pacquiao countdown!

 

I'm looking forward to Froch - Taylor. It's my tip for one to watch this month.

Williams - Winky may be good, but I'm not expecting it to be.

 

Yeah, i agree Taylor/Froch could be a sleeper type fight that captures the public eye.

I have a feeling that Winky is going to turn that fight into a snore fest...

One week until Pacman vs. Hitman......

 

In all fairness, Taylor would've won if he had the stamina for it. Practically a repeat of the first Pavlik fight.

Calzaghe would destroy Froch if he came out of retirement to face him. Because of this, I'd like to see Carl fight Bute and/or Kessler, and maybe, if they come up to 168 as rumoured, Pavlik and Abraham.

 

I would love to see Froch vs Abraham...

I haven't, no. I will catch up eventually, but most of the info I'm getting in the build up comes from boxingscene.com

At the moment I'm loving the Haye - Wlad trash talk in their pressers.

 

I have to keep up with that...

I have never seen Wlad as a fighter who would talk trash...A good opponent could change that I guess!

 

Wlad doesn't do much talking. He just sits there and takes the abuse.

While I don't think he should retire just yet, he should definitely retire soon. Best thing he can do is fight the winner of Khan - Kotelnik, take a title back and then retire on a high.

It did not look like Ricky was doing anything that they worked on in his camp...like head movement, and coming in with a stiff jab.

What a downer! I was looking forward this one!

 

At least Wlad versus Chagaev will be mildly entertaining as opposed to any other replacements.

I'd like to see Haye fight Arreola once he returns from his back injury, then after that challenge the Klitchskos again.

I was really disappointed about Haye pulling out of the fight. Was hoping to see Wlad get his ass handed to him by a smaller fighter Something about Wlad and his brother just irritates me.

I've watched ROcky Balboa multiple times this week so I'm pumped about boxing again

You know, I really wish that boxing would become popular again and take an edge over MMA, but with the way things are going, I don't see it happening. Until boxing is shown, for free, on television again, MMA is going to continue to grow. And until some things change in the sport itself, people will not want to watch anyway.

 

Nah, first time they fought. Decently entertaining but I long for a Wlad opponent to give him some competition...Haye for instance
