The Caluula Shaper - who was she?!

I've just, belatedly, realised that the Shaper who Han and Leia run into on Caluula isn't ever named in The Unifying Force.

And she managed to come up with some surprisingly effective countermeasures to Alpha Red in the course of a reasonably short hyperspace journey aboard a cramped starship, too...

Anyone picked up on this?

And what were a cadre of Slayers doing on an irrelevant backwater like Caluula anyway?

Thrawn, why don't you just go ahead and tell us what you're trying to get at.

I figure it was just another PDOUS in the NJO, but then again, it could always amount to more.

But who could fill that posistion of importance? Maybe it is a original person who had a impact on the adventure..?

Yeah, I noticed that too. But this is the NJO, what of it? A Master in Force Heretic, Sebatyne was called a Knight again in TUF. Not that she should have suddenly been a Master in FH, mind you.

What bothered me the most was all that unexplained advancement:

-how slayers are saber impervious
-how they home in on Holonet sigs
-how they countered the yammosk jamming

Not that I want the hyperdrive mechanics explained in detail to me, but don't just "say" all that has been fixed! It lacks detail.
