Sorry, didn't mean to spam. At long last, here's my original message:

Ah, that's no fun... you guys agree with me!

My friend has tried to convince me of how evident time is in the changing of the seasons, atomic clock, and some such. I say these are merely natural phenomena which mankind subscribe a meaning to.

There's some Native American tribe, for instance, that have (or had) no words to convey time. They existed purely in the moment and had no need to tell others when to do something, it was just taken for granted that it should be done when it was said.

I saw that there were 10 new replies to this thread, and thought that I must have somehow missed some heated discussion. I know how it goes with these boards though.

And yeah PA-d, I think on this one we do agree.

So does anyone have more to say on the whole Cave allegory? I actually have a paper on it do this week and wouldn't mind plagarizing a few of your ideas.
