Ah, the fan club gets bigger. After all, who DOESN'T love Han and Chewie?

 

There are many inactive members though. I need to check on that.

We need to keep the activity going in this club, even if it is just social. Of course Chewie and Han topics should be the bulk of the thread, but there is nothing wrong with socializing. I see it in other clubs here, and think to myself, "Now why don't my fellow Chewie and Han fans do that in our club?"

Relax, and have fun in here. That's what this place is for. Chewie loves fun.

Ah, this Chewie pillow is nice and comfortable.

 

Peter Mayhew will be at Star Wars Fan Days III in Plano, TX on Oct 24-25. They'll have lots of actors and creators from the films. Here's their website for more info.: http://fandays.com

 

I was trying to make it to FanDays 3 but just couldn't find the money.



Anyway, yeah most of our members aren't around anymore. I haven't even seen our Vice President in a long time. Hmm.

Han and Chewbacca were a huge factor of why Star Wars becaume so big.

Star Wars would not be the same without Chewie, and as for Han without him, I think he would be too plain.
I think Chewie keeps Han out of trouble.

Han and Chewie are amazing smugglers. Definitely joining.

Hey, I'm still around somewhat, been immersed in the CW lately. And man, I wish they had these things in my neck of the woods in PA...it seems all the cool conventions and such happen in the Midwest or West Coast.

Chewie and Han's fans are returning to their fanclub.

 

I live in the Harrisburg area, HS29...Philly is a bit far for me, same with Pittsburgh, but I don't think Harrisburg or York could handle something as huge as some of those events...but perhaps maybe one of those fandays things or a comic con at the Farm Show building or something.

And dinner with Chewie? Totally awesome!

 

So what is Peter like?

 

Yeah, reading some of the stuff he posted in that thread he made years ago before ROTS came out he seems like a down to Earth type of guy...and it's rare for a celebrity to interact with the fans in such a manner; most just give you a handshake and an autograph and if you're lucky, maybe get your picture taken with them. But Pete actually took the time to answer people's questions and having that experience must have been like a once in a lifetime opportunity.

 

I hope I get the chance to meet him someday. I wonder what he would say about this club.

 

I'm trying to track down a copy of "Chewbacca and Me: The Wookie Talks" a book Peter Mayhew wrote in the mid 90s.
