I got a Star Wars concept art calendar.



Plus Pokémon Moon, and DOOM for PC

 

I got some clothes, a blanket, some books, a travel mug and a blue topaz necklace.

 

Amazing.

 

Too early. Put all that stuff back in the attic for another month.

 

'Tis the season to be jolly.

 

Every year I'm more and more convinced the long centuries of worship have given Christmas a terrifying unlife, and that soon even the lure of Halloween candy sales will be insufficient to get retailers to resist its dread tendrils (Some go halfsies even now). And I for one welcome our new holly jolly horror overlord. Iä! Iä! Christmas fhtagn! Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Santa Claus North Pole wgah'nagl fhtagn!

Sky Movies have their Sky Christmas channel going and I'm currently watching The Santa Clause.

 

We have a "pre-Black Friday" sale going on at work. Tons of Christmas **** is marked down. It's gonna be a rough day.

 

This week was my 20th anniversary at Barnes & Noble. That being said, I'm now partially retired and only work overnights merchandising. My feet, knees and liver could not take another retail xmas.

 

Oh well, just bust out the next Santa clone. What, how do you think he's still alive after all these decades?

Ehhhh who I am kidding, the wife and I have started Christmas shopping two weeks ago. 3 kids, 10 nieces/nephews, our parents and 2 godchildren makes for one long list.

Thanksgiving > Religious holidays.

 

All the secretaries at my office took the day to unpack all the christmas decorations and put them up, and Im like "hey why are you skipping Mr. Turkey?"

 

I actually put up the outside Christmas lights before Thanksgiving as I hate freezing my butt off trying to put them on Turkey Day weekend but we don't turn them on until Black Friday which is when we typically put up our Christmas decorations since my wife has way too many as she went nuts one year at a store that was having an amazing post Christmas sale on decorations. I freely admit I got some Clark Grizwold in me as I am a Christmas nut since it is the one time a year you can act like a idiot and get away with it (plus I enjoy everything else about it) but I freely admit anyone who puts their Christmas decorations up before Thanksgiving as the right to have some angry pilgrims called on them and have it taken down along with the stuff put into storage and not given up to after Thanksgiving.

 

Was in town today and a Christmas Shop was open. (They sell artificial trees, etc.)

True. We've had them before. There's also a calendar stand in the mall selling 2019 calendars, diaries, etc. Got my SW calendar there a few weeks ago.

 

I'm cheap I always wait til after Xmas to get mine half-price .
