    I've been watching them live.

Last week's episode wasn't bad at all. Nice to see them get Aayla and Bly together.

Last two were decent episodes - they introduced Bly, which I was a fan of.

Tonight's episode looks fun. New Clone types.

I am happy that they moved away from the main villains for a while,it means they are going too remain a credibile threat.

He's actually going to be in the early half of Season 2, if Wikipedia is to be believed.

For all it's strengths, the show tends to portray politics semi idiotically (Senate Murders most recent and obvious example, Defenders of Peace ruining the excellent setup of the pacifists in Jedi Crash, etc.).

Cool I guess, even though I think that is foolish for them to say that.

Why? Generally speaking, kids and teenagers are so apathetic towards politics, feeling like it's something happening "over there," and therefore unworthy of their concern or attention. Clone Wars has, at least, given them a little perspective on things.

If they had some politics that made sense on the show and it was a show about politics instead of a war in space then I might feel different. If children and teens pick up a little info about it, then good, but if it is stupid politics, then it doesn't matter much, in my opinion.

So we should only pick up political knowledge from material strictly about politics? Okey-dokey, I'll throw away all my sci-fi novels that inspired me to major in poli-sci. ;)

...he's saying that he thinks politics are handled idiotically on this show, thereby rendering the title of the thread a stupid statement from his perspective. Not that referencing politics in fiction is a bad idea. Got it?

What are you, his spokesman? [face_laugh] Yeah, well, maybe I would've picked that up easier if he hadn't made the "war in space" comment. If you're trying to make a point, don't mess up the point by making other points inside of that point.

And I wouldn't agree that politics are handled badly in this show, especially considering the program's intended audience.

Maybe this will explain the relevance of "war in space" for you...

In a nutshell, there are aspects of an sf/fantasy setting that change where the lines can be drawn on a number of issues.

I disagree with the premise of that article on principle, but that's besides the point. The point is that the main audience who sits and watches Clone Wars every Friday night consists of kids, who could really care less about politics and have no knowledge of political existance. At least they're being introduced to the concept that politics affects people, and people affect politics. They aren't just detached entities. You can't tell me that's a negative thing.
