Indeed! NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIUUUUUUUUWWWWWWWWWWWWW! What a haunting sound!
Matthew Wood is simply the best for the job. Pure and simply.

Now if only the music was up to Star Wars standards.

Hey possible continuity problem - from AOTC, I got the impression that Jedi couldn't block the Geonosian "sonic bolts" or whatever they are, but it looks like Ki-Adi is deflecting them in the tunnel.

I think he may have just been deflecting the ordinary blaster fire. But then despite what has been previously established, perhaps it is not totally impossible to block the sonic blasts, maybe just quite difficult. So in the first Battle of Geonosis the Jedi were unable to block those blasts, but may have later discovered that it was actually possible. So perhaps experienced masters like Mundi practiced techniques for blocking them ahead of their return to Geonosis. So in that second battle, the Jedi are more able to cope with those less familiar weapons.

    Ha! Wonderful! =D=

That's a great explanation for Obi-Wan having kill counts on his starfighter. Filoni, are you listening? ;)

Gry, if you did that, you know that everybody on this board would begin demanding you write episodes dedicated to EU material.

    Those were great, Gry. [face_laugh]:D
Really did greatly capture the two of them from what we've seen in the films and the show. I wonder if the crew scour the forums to pick up gems like that...:p

And writing for TCW...(sighs)a man, let alone a Plo Koon fan, can dream. XD

Well, while he'd certainly receive tons of input from the likes of us (Bring in the EU! Destroy the EU! Have them speak nothing but Mando'a! PLO KOON! ...no, Plo Koon's a stupid idea :p), I think that the process generally follows the ideas that the crew throws out and decides to work on. I'm not sure who's responsible for ideas and how they're picked, though. Writers might have more freedom to pick, choose and create their own stories for all I know.

Just watched the episode again. Mom overheard Ahsoka and Anakin's kill count banter and made the comment "Hey, that's probably not good for kids!"

    I just chuckled...

..I agree with you mom. I think that kill count partially ruined the episode for me. But setting that aside, it was a good episode. I'm sure koonfan would have liked to see Plo Koon enter or "escort" Anakin and Ahsoka into the Star Destroyer's bridge in the beginning and then leave. :p

Kill counts: Throwaway comment that shows immaturity from the crew...or part of a deeper subtext that implies the corruption of the Jedi? YOU decide! :p

And yes, I would have liked Plo Koon present as a nice little bit since they already mentioned Dorin, but I'm aware that it's the Clone Wars, not the Koon Wars (hahahaha I'll stop now). He doesn't have to be present, and it certainly doesn't detract from the episode. :p
I guess his voice actor, James Arnold Taylor, wasn't around to-
Oh wait. James Arnold Taylor is Obi-Wan. :p

That makes me wonder, though. While I'm not going to raise my hopes for him having a MAJOR part in the other Geonosis episodes, could he put in an appearance? Dorin's safe, after all, unless they'd need him present to help stabilise and provide war relief...Maybe they could have him check in, give Anakin a report on how Dorin's doing via hologram?

Imagine the scene. Ahsoka, covered head to toe in dust, droid grease
and geonosian blood, the smell of roasting geonosian flesh misting
from her lightsaber as she jokes with Anakin about her kill count.
She turns to leave, but stops dead in her tracks as Plo Koon, blocking
the way, stares down at her in disbelief.

Wonder how he feels about his "Little 'Soka" now?

OBJECTION! There should hardly be any blood, as lightsabers cauterise wounds!

Well...I've never considered it that way. Good job. :p

Realistically speaking, I think he WOULD be a good candidate for a Jedi to regret what's been happening, in terms of definitely-displayed characteristics. He's older, wiser, and his compassion is one of his clearer character traits. He wouldn't be a stranger to having to take lives to keep the peace, but I wonder how many losses are acceptable to him. Of course, personal Jedi philosophy outside of the episode should really be in another topic, so I'll be quiet now. XD

But yes. A little hologram, saying something like "the people of Dorin greatly value your assistance, Skywalker" or "be mindful of your surroundings, little 'Soka". :(

Seriously guys, the kill count is not a major issue.

Three different Jedi comment on it in the episode. Obi-Wan clearly disapproves, Ki-Adi Mundi mocks Skywalker at the end and even Skywalker realises that it is inappropriate by the end of that brutal battle, but only goes along with it for Ahsoka. Only the very young Ahsoka still believes in it and that's because she's desperate for the approval of her master - the animation at this point is really good especially the way her face lights up when Anakin chooses to play her game. It shows that she still is a child and is getting too attached to Anakin and his approval.

    That was hilarious, Gry. [face_laugh]

Best thing about this episode, for me, was Luminara's comment.

"Gentlemen, if you are quite finished... we have a battle to begin."

    Made me LOL.

Noticed something when watching it on the website: Jet has mythosaur skulls drawn on his shoulderpads. Interesting, especially for the Mando fans...

I think just about everything I think about this episode has already been said.

    1. AWESOME ANIMATION
    2. AWESOME BATTLES
    3. I DID NOT mind the kill count, the ending was funny.
    4. That moment with Obi-Wan sitting down when the air strike arrives was awesomely emotional.
    5. The part where Anakin and Ahsoka bring down the wall was also awesome. :)

I have to say, after being somewhat disappointed with the first four episodes, this one blew me away. I don't think there was a single moment I didn't love. And it's nice to get the context of Rex's fall through the sky. Who would have thought it was caused by Anakin?
