It's premiering now here in the UK. Not a bad episode so far. Anyone else think the police lieutenant resembles Peter Lorre?

Edit - pretty good episode. Some action, some politics. I really didn't miss ObiWan and Anakin.

Is there any way to get the episode off I Tunes if you don't have an I-Pod, or I-Phone or whatever that new thing is...?

I'm not a very rtechnological person. In fact, I almost had to look the word up to see how to spell it. [face_whistling]

I actually really liked this episode, loved it even. The fact that it was completely void of Jedi and Sepratists and Sith was a strength for it.

It was great to see Mon Mothma and Bail Organa get developed a little more and I thought they did a good job with the suspense maybe until the chase scene throught the docks.

Senator Lolo(sp?) was an interesting choice of villian and the mention of how Kamino swayed its involvement with the Clone Army into a Senate seat was a much needed mention for the sake of continuity. Although I guess Uncle Ono's death is something of a continuity mess, so we can't have everything:p

I've only watched it once thus far, but I think I noticed several new CGI models in use in the episode.

Inspector Devo I suspect was part inspired by Don Knots from the Andy Griffth show.

i got tired of waiting for cartoon network to play this episode so i downloaded it off of itunes. interesting that lfl put it on itunes a week before it premieres in the u.s. - maybe a message to cartoon network to stop with the long hiatuses?

i did really like this episode. i really liked how padme/organa/montha wanted to end the clone production, and end the war. it seemed to tie in with the padme/organa/montha rebellion deleted scenes from rots. it kind of seemed like a prequel to those scenes, which is a little odd since lucas deleted them from the film. i always wished that lucas hadn't cut them though. they are great scenes and make all three of those characters much stronger. maybe lucas changed his mind about those scenes? sure wouldn't be the first time that he changed his mind.

it did take me a while to figure out who killed the rodian senator, which is a good thing. btw, why did padme keep calling him uncle? that confused me. i also like how they gave padme an action scene. i hope they continue with padme/organa/montha slowly creating the rebellion. that would seem like a good role for them to fill on this show.

I just contacted CN about the breaks. For the second time.

I told them that other countries are getting the episodes earlier, which should serve as a wake-up call if they didn't already know.

It's not up on iTunes Canada, even though it was aired in Canada last night.

    *Sigh*.

When I first heard about this episode I thought I was going to hate it. But after buying it on Itunes and watching it I found myself liking the episode. The whole episode until the end I wasn't sure who the murderer was but I finally kind of knew who it was in the end. The Police Officer was hilarious and found myself chuckling at him. He reminded me so much of Barney Fife from Andy Griffith. I also liked seeing a brief cameo of Duchess Satine at the funeral. Not going to say much else on this episode for those who haven't seen it yet. Overall enjoyable episode, too bad Itunes doesn't include the preview for the next episode. I wanted to see more of Admiral Trench. Oh well, I will have to wait till next Friday to see this episode again.

Not a bad episode. Mandalore saga was better but this was alright filler. Trench is gonna rule though.
For the record, I saw the rodian as the murderer coming as soon as she first appeared on screen. What WAS unexpected was Padme's delicious punch at the end there. Nice!!!

Lots of nice touches in this episode; Inspector Divo turned out to be a much better, if curious, little addition to the show's ever-growing cast, and the introduction of 'proper' Senate guards was a nice surprise.

And was it me, or did the Senate chamber seem bigger and more in line with the scale of the films than in its last few appearances?

Technically I guess she's captured for four or five seconds, as the assassin tries to get away--but it's the "come any closer and I'll shoot your friend" type thing, not really the annoying damsel in distress bit. Plus, the right hook at the end MORE than makes up for it.

I really enjoyed this episode because it really was a fully Padme story--noone was shoe-horned in and all the decisions by the characters made sense. It was a glimpse into an ongoing storyline that neither started nor ended here, but had fully realized characters in it. If other Padme-centered stories are like this I can totally get on board. This and 'Lightsaber Lost' really illustrate how a one-off story can be well executed in this series.

So there I am, channel surfing at 8:30, and for no reason, I decided to watch The Clone Wars, even though I knew it wasn't a new episode. Silly me.
After I got over my shock that Canada was getting an episode early, I settled back to enjoy.

When I first heard of this episode, I wasn't expecting anything more than "Senate Spy Part 2," but this was ten times better than Senate Spy. I couldn't believe that I wasn't able to figure out who the killer was, up until Lolo's little "She attacked me" rant, so great job on that part.

Padme was barely annoying at all. Though I do not like the actress who voices her at all, in this episode, Padme was tough and able to take charge. Divo was good for a laugh, and I wouldn't mind seeing him again every once in a while. The real treats in this episode, for me, were Mon Mothma, who was sensible, intelligent, and level headed, and the two "villains." I loved Deechi and Burtoni at once. They were low, scheming, slimy... so politician like. When Burtoni took a looooong swig of her drink right in front of the camera, after announcing her thoughts on Farr, I was so worried that she would be the next to die. All of a sudden, the scene was over, she was still alive, and I breathed a sigh of relief... until the next scene when Deechi lay slumped on his chair. Sigh. The end of the episode was also done well; I don't think Lolo was ever meant to be all that threatening, and she got what she deserved with Padme's excellent punch to the face!

Only small thing: Farr dying. I'm no continuity buff, but as soon as he died, I got out handy ol' Wookieepedia and sure enough, it didn't agree with his death. It's not a big deal to me, but I'm sure others will be annoyed.

All in all, I loved this episode. One of my favorites in a long time (which isn't saying much with all the delays :p ). For an episode with barely any action, it carried itself really well.

The most shocking part however, was the preview for next week. Maybe it's just me, or my DVR, but I have never seen a preview for a Clone Wars episode. Cat and Mouse looks very exciting, and it seems that we'll be getting another early episode!

Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait! Did someone say there were regular Senate Guards in this episode?! The ones that were in the movies?! NOT the Senate Commandos?! :D [face_dancing] =P~

Don't get me wrong, I love the Commandos, but they are doing EVERYTHING. According to one of the visual guides, they were an elite group, selected from the regular guard, who carried out important missions. But in the show, they had regular guard duty in the Senate complex, handing out parking tickets, and piloting Satine's ship! They were doing all the jobs the regular guards were supposed to do!

That was just one little problem I had with the show. Happy to see it resolved!

Saw it, for once Padme was not an annoying character.

Loved the animation on the senate guard's cloaks. This show just keeps getting prettier.

The Kaminoan Senator was pretty slimy. I liked her. I also noticed her silver irises, the highest tier of authority in Kaminoan society. Pretty interesting that they would send one of their top members to represent them.

    And Senator Dracula was hilarious.

    Senator Dracula?

I enjoyed this episode very much! =) Nice filler episode! Padme was very tolerable and finally wasnt the damsel in distress. I knew from the beginning who the traitor was. All the new characters were definitely a plus! Overall, very good! Can't wait for the next two episodes. Seeing the senate guards in their proper uniform was a nice change and looked more and more like the films!

Senator Deechi looked like Dracula, and talked like Dracula. And it was kriffing funny.

And the inspector was pretty fun too.

But can we please, please hire more than just Phil Lamarr? The guy is everywhere.

I'm a little curious if Anakin is in this episode at all. It just occured to me, I don't think there's been an episode with Padme where Anakin doesn't appear at some point, but there's several of him without her.

So glad to finally see Bail and Mon Mothma used. Though, did anyone actually call Mon Mothma by name?

I really liked the model detail this time around. You could notice Bail scowling in the background when Divo first appeared. Some really nice subtle expressions. And Padme was quite good in her role and more in line with how Leia would react. I do find it stupid though that she won't bring Typho but she'll accept Bail.

I love how the cast continues to expand. The cameos by Satine were a nice touch. As were the additions of Mas Amedda and Orn Free Taa to the different scenes. Their background appears really make the show feel like the movies a bit more. Overall, very pleased with this episode. It was a nice change of pace.
