The first pic of the Zillo beast that I saw was only it's head and it looked a lot like the plant from Little Shop Of Horrors.:p

I'm totally on the fence with this one... I mean, what the heck? Godzilla in Star Wars? Woah..

    EDIT:

I for one am looking forward to this. Hopefully we get some explanation why they can't just calm the beast down using the force.

Is this airing tonight in the UK/Canada?

Cartoon Network needs to get their act together if so.

    Godzilla? In Star Wars? o_O

At least we won't have to look too far to figure out what THIS episode is a homage to.

(couldn't they at least come up with a more subtle name than "Zillo?")

It looks like there will be Dugs in this episode, judging from the picture posted.

That is going to be really cool, as I always thought that they had a really great design.

No new episode in Canada tonight, probably because of Good Friday. Brutal!!!! Eh, I guess Canada is back on schedule with the U.S now.

After seeing the preview after "Bounty Hunters" this looks really good. Mace Windu and Commander Ponds returns to battle alongside Anakin and Captain Rex? That's awesome.

Also it seems that the Zillo Beast comes out after a huge Republic v.s Seperatist battle.

Dude, a homage is not the same as a rip-off. The SW movies are full of homages - from The Hidden Fortress to Flash Gordan to The Searchers to Gone with the Wind - yet feels completely original. It draws inspiration from other material to come up with something fresh.

Whats your information based on? It doesn't look to me that this is airing tomorrow in Canada. Maybe the UK. Digital Cable preview shows the continuation of the Geonosian Arc from tonight.

I suspected Canada wouldn't be getting this episode this week as over here in the UK it's being advertised as the 'world premiere' of this episode.

Just finished watching it, and I have to say it was a lot better than I was expecting. I don't know if that was because I watched it with low expectations following all the Godzilla-talk, but I was really taken aback by the epic scale of the episode.

The largest droid army we've seen to date; inventive Dug technology, ARC-170s, nice Windu vs Palpatine interaction; all of this and more makes up for the less than subtle Godzilla-esque scream that the Zillo Beast has, and I look forward to the concluding part of this duology.

Either way, I think a lot of the naysayers for this episode will be suitably appeased that this is more of another homage than it is a rip-off once they've seen it :)

I just finished watching it here in the UK. I thought it was OK. It did have a definite Godzilla atmosphere though.

Just how were they planning on transporting the beast off-planet? At the end they showed it being raised by multiple ships. Also how were they going to keep it asleep for the trip? Kinda hard to use the cannon trick if it's aboard a ship.
