Just watched Episode 21 (and since I started watching it literally the minute it became available online to Sky customers in the UK, I think I could be one of the first in the whole world to have done so! Wow!) and here's a few thoughts; as usual, no major spoilers from me until more people have seen it.

    - Approach Episode 21 with an open mind. It's not the gritty , dark story we might have hoped for from a Boba Fett story, and as long as you hold that in mind it's a fun adventure.
    - That said, nor is it a silly childish episode as some feared from the title. There are a lot of nice little touches (here's just one to whet your appetite; The Wolf Pack return!)
    - It wraps up from the last episode nicely, almost as if the pair were a duology rather than 2/3 of a trilogy. As such, I think this is a good sign that the third episode in the Boba Fett Trilogy is going to be a little more standalone in the same way Children of the Force was when compared to Holocron Heist / Cargo of Doom. Therefore, we can hope for that gritty, dark story so many of us are screaming for.

Well, that's not selling it, Kualan. :p Every time I hear Star Wars and "open mind", I get nervous.

Except for the Wolff Pack.

Heh, I might be underselling it somewhat.

Let's put it this way, you don't need to be as open-minded as you would with, say, Bombad Jedi.

I'm just predicting that a lot of people are going to hate it because it's not as dark as they want. A better, more accurate way of describing the episode would be that - if it was to air as a non-Fett Trilogy episode - then it would definately be described as 'classic Star Wars'. It gets the balance of peril, humour, dogfights and brilliant villains just right. And it's definately a step up from what a lot of people found to be a 'slow' episode the week before.

Sounds like a good episode to me! And I'm glad the Wolfpack is featured! Their helmets are cool.

One quick question though: Do we see Bossk in action? Or is he still just standing around?

Like Lethal Trackdown, I read a couple of previews of this episode, and there was no "heavy" Bossk action as far as I can remember. Boba is heavily featured, though, of course.

No Bossk action per se. He gets some lines (in a hissy form of Basic; though for those diehard Bossk fans who hate that he can speak Basic it does seem like he has some sort of device attached to the front of his suit with a microphone that might be some sort of translator). But it is him who is piloting the Slave 1 in the dogfight.

Are you referring to the Jedi starfighter chase? That's in Lethal Trackdown.

I'm referring to the chase that is seen in the finale trailer when the John Williams music kicks in; with the Slave 1 chasing the Jedi starfighter along the crashed Venator Star Destroyer. Bossk is piloting it then, and it's in R2 Come Home.

That wasn't Wolfpack. We've seen Wolffe in a hologram in Grievous Intrigue, though.

"Therefore, we can hope for that gritty, dark story so many of us are screaming for."

An episode about a 14 year old kid looking for a 12 year old doesn?t really scream dark.

Doesn?t mean its going to be bad, but just like ?Duchess of Mandalore? it doesn?t sound like part three will be the high point of the action.

I just watched it, great episode, really well written, great music (a little bit of OT stuff as the medical ship pulls away and the spooky tune it plays when they talk about Jango). favourite bit: R2 taking down the Gundark was awesome

it does seem though, going back and watching the trilogy trailer again, that most of the combat shown (Sing firing pistols, the ahsoka speederbike battle, the bar fight etc.)takes place in the last episode.

The music contiunes to sicken me. I'm sorry, but I still feel like I'm not watching Star Wars but other films with similiar themes.

Just finished watching the episode. My thoughts and ***HEAVY SPOILERS*** ahead:

    - I liked the gundarks in this episode. They were definetely put to good use and now really act like dangerous creatures.

    - Mace and Anakin's banter seemed appropriate given their relationship in ROTS. Nice mentions of AOTC events.

    - Gotta say, I was kind of bummed when I saw the Venator crash in the opening reel. I was expecting the crash to be seen from a little more hands-on perspective, say, The Bridge...

    - Bossk in still mostly standing around. He does get to fly Slave I at the end.

    - The Wolfpack is here, but I think they've earned the right to more than 30 seconds of screentime.

    - Very good and creative use of R2's abilities.

Overall, "R2 Come Home" felt like a good STAND-ALONE episode, and less like the second act of a Boba trilogy. It's nice to have another R2-centric episode, but this wasn't the place for it. And yes, it does look like the last episode is going to be action heavy (and it better be...)

This was a very good episode, but like others have said it would have worked better as a stand-alone. Though I still don't like the fact Bossk speaks basic, but everything else was awesome.

    - "Notorious bounty hunter Jango Fett......notorious bounty hunter Aurra Sing." Nice writing, guys.

    - "you encourage it too much" - why would Mace say that? It doesn't even make sense!

    - pretty good job on the crash site.

    - blaster shots through the heart of the dead clones.

    - "lightspeed" - is that the first time they ever say lightspeed?

    - pretty cool using the helmet.

    - Aurra no longer with Bane?

    - I thought the last episode was "Death Trap" [face_laugh]

    - oh, Bossk speaking Basic, what a shame. :(

    - Aurra's head jack is cool though.

    - ha ha, Artoo is a badass

    - huh. wonder where Obi-Wan is?

    - you know, for 2 episodes filled with what I hoped would be Mace and Anakin goodness, they've done a lot of standing/lying around!

    - not a bad episode. Good stand-alone, as people have said. So far I haven't really bought this as a trilogy in the same way as the Ryloth trilogy or the Bane trilogy.

Good episode overall. At first, I hated the idea of Bossk speaking Basic, but I think it was well done by using his traditional sound to separate sentences. Once again, they show that Mace doesn't trust Anakin, which we already knew, but what they still fail to show is the "why"...

I've just realised that the only Jedi in the holo-conference at the end were those that appeared in the Order 66 montage; Plo Koon, Ki-Adi-Mundi, Aayla and Adi Gallia (if we take it as intended in the script). I wonder if that was deliberate.

Its good so far, but this trilogy really doesn?t work as a season finale. It should be something grander, something big. I wish we had gotten the return of Ventress or Death Watch instead.

Well, I feel that this episode was alright. It was far better than the previous one, however it was still missing something. Perhaps its the fact that we don't really see Boba and the bounty hunters do much

And doesn't it bother anyone else that:

    !!!SPOILERS!!!

Jango's helmet gets blown up? I mean, it makes no god damn sense. Filloni and team goes as far as to put the "dent" on Jango's helmet, as to obviously allude that it is Boba's helmet as well, but then boom! Gone, just like that! So now, the question is, if Boba didn't repaint his father's armor (as the EU has it, currently), then where the hell did he get his Mando armor from?

Also, Bossk speaking Basic is lame. It's as if Filloni and team are afraid of using any other dialect other than Basic in this show
