Definitely looking forward to this episode in for nothing else than the simple fact it is a much needed return to the battlefront; also looking forward to seeing some more ARC Trooper action sequences, Even Piell, Captain Tarkin (since it is in the initial post of this thread I?m assuming it?s not a spoiler any more) and a general ?Prison Break? theme (hopefully something like this can be done for the break out of Wat Tambor and Poggle the Lesser as well, perhaps during the Battle of Coruscant).

I also wonder if Tarkin will be involved in operation of the break out (i.e. raiding the complex) or actually being broken out with Piell (perhaps he is Piell?s officer). Given the preview I am thinking the latter

How is that obvious? You're not discussing preview clip material here, are you?!:mad:

It's going to be refreshing to see Rex again, its been all Jedi and cakes and tea the first half of the season that I forgot we were watching the "Clone" Wars. Plus, we haven't really seen him since Arc Troopers.

(He didn't do much in the Mortis trilogy)

Here's hoping that we get a lot of Rex and a little or no battledroid "humor". [face_praying]

Looks good, not great, but looks like we are back to our normal clone war arc. Part one will probably be your typical "jailbreak" type episode...everything is going great until something happens that necessitates 2 more parts. Then we move onto the end-of-season arc which I am salivating over =P~

EDIT: Is this a two or three episode arc?

"I have a bad feeling about this.."

Glad to see Clones again, what I am not impressed with is seeing Jedi frozen in Carbonite.
As established by ESB, Vader tested it on Solo because it was never done before or at least it was very rare. To me this seems odd. It will take away from the epic scene in ESB.

No. As I said in the other thread:

Vader said: "This facility is crude, but it should be adequate to freeze Skywalker for his journey to the Emperor."

As such, it's not like he's unfamiliar with the process.

Actually no, the preview is short and sweet, doesn't reveal much.

From the episode guide though it seems obvious that's what they're doing.

Thats why I thought my comment wasn't a spoiler cause the clip really showed nothing. My bad.

I think this will be an interesting story line to see how they execute a fairly recongizable story line. I'm glad though cause I thought they were starting to copy FOTJ with jedi being frozen in carbonite

The episode guide reveals nothing about this whole freezing thing, which is why it's preview-exclusive information that should be discussed only in the Preview Clips thread.

While I certainly appreciate an arc that's actually inspired by classic Star Wars, the overabundance of words like "references", "parallels", "familiar", "pay homage" and "revisit" points to a potential lack of creativity at work here.

This is very EU-like episode isn't it- usually comics and stuff has this kind of familiar plots, revisited scenes etc. still Lola Sayu is nothing like we have seen in movies- and neither is that bad guy this time... Tarkin as good guy.... etc. sounds good to me- i don't care if it is bit lacking imagination i have had enough of "imagination" now after Mortis- if they redo Empire Strikes back with TCW characters or something- it's just fun:p -

Republic transports leaving the base on Orto Plutonia- Munificent frigate approaches on orbit

Battledroid:"Sir- Republic ships are coming into our sector!"

Neimoidian : "Good- Our first catch of the day!"

    Republic officer: Stand by, Ion-control

    etc.[face_laugh]

Definitely unimaginative but at least definitely Star Wars more than some Mortisp**p [face_whistling] Not insult to those who like it

If they throw in "willyoushutupandlistentome? Shut down all the garbage compactors on the detention level!" I will give them credit.

But I'm with you, we've had enough "homage" and "references" to last a lifetime. TCW is at its best when it is indirectly referencing the films, and then only by being awesome.[face_devil]

EDIT: This is a three-parter? Interesting.

Oh well... you can always say that Father accidentally erased Anakin's memory of Tarkin, along with his vision of the future... :p

So true. The "That's not true... That's Impossible!" from Anakin in Legacy of Terror is just plain epic thanks to just how indirect a reference it is.

I don't see why they wouldn't use Tarkin. He was fantastic in ANH and nothing is going to change that.

I'm tired of great SW characters that we only get to see for one film!
