Yes as if you accept others' opinions without question.

Just wondering, what are the Gungans going to attack with?

    Boomers?

Are they going to throw them underwater?

Or are they going to rely entirely on polearms?

They don't have blasters, and even if they were supplied with them they'd still need training.

I'm sure TCW will come up with something.

From the preview screenshots, it looks like spears.

And I applaud you CT for steering this thread back on course.

True, though boomers were designed specifically as underwater weapons according to the Star Wars visual guide.

Also, in Galactic Battlegrounds the Gungans have a sizable combat submarine fleet.

I wouldn't mind boomers if they had some sort of launching system for them.

I'm actually looking forward to some Gungan action. It seems that a lot of times people forget that not all Gungans are like Jar Jar, they are actually a pretty formidable fighting force with interesting weapons.

Have you seen The Phantom Menace?

    The Gungans lost the battle.

The Jedi were losing in Geonosis before the clones came, but I think Jedi are powerful

The Jedi are, the Gungans aren't.

To be fair, neither the Gungans at Naboo nor the Jedi at Geonosis had ever faced battle droids before.

None of this matters, if the writers want the Gungans to win, they will.

My impression of the Gungan army from TPM is that they are poorly equipped, poorly organized and poorly led. Many of them showed courage, but I'd say they're no match for any well organized military equipped with current standards in galactic technology.

This is not true. There are swords, as shown in the episode Rookies.

Perhaps, but you need to cool a sword being forged in WATER. [face_laugh]

Also, there are swords. There are vibroblades, and before vibroblades, there were swords. A freaking EU story has Yoda mention a great warrior.

Said he: "The best blades are kept in their sheathes."

    There's your precedence. :p

The Gungans lost because they could not counter tanks. I don't think that will be a factor here, and the Gungans are probably better warriors under water than they are on land.

Of course, they could still end up losing anyway.

PS - I found an image of Booma use:[image=http://www.starwars.com/img/explore/the-clone-wars/ep402/gallery/gallery13.jpg]

Because we never see it in TCW! It's like Obi-Wan has no naval officer aboard his flagship- maybe there is..... we just never see any

    22 in all. Great find!

I posted them all in the other thread because I couldn't tell what episodes they were from.

They're all from this one. replace the number from 402 to 401 and 403 and you'll get even more.
On the Gungans in battle issue, remember that they're an underwater species and therefore it's logical that they fight better underwater than on land.
But then again the same can be said for the Mon Calamarans, Kit Fisto, sharky and the Quarren so I guess we'll see.
Sheer numbers can determine the succes as well..

WOW. The full screenshot gallery for not only these two episodes, but next week's as well is there to be viewed! I guess someone screwed up in the mayhem of revamping the official site. If you're interested, go see them fast, but beware of spoilers, specially in the 403 gallery.
