When the leader of the Gungans, Boss Lyonie, is injured it's discovered there is an uncanny resemblance between the Boss and Jar Jar Binks. Binks must sway his people from rising against the Naboo and stopping a Separatist invasion led by General Grievous.

I remain skeptical. I am looking forward to seeing how they animate the rain affecting the characters, but I doubt anything good is going to come of this. We've already had Jar Jar for two episodes this season. Isn't there a quota or something?

If anything, this show has made Jar Jar slightly more bearable. And there is a sense of sadistic glee one can get from watching him be tortured and shot at.

As long as BJ Hughes won't return i can stand Jar Jar:p Not really looking forward to this though it's not fun to see Grievous losing to gungans no matter how believable it may be that single warrior looses to an army..... also Anakin and Dooku and all this arc looks generally odd "rehashed ideas" -arc- i wonder if that odd gungan seen in some preview pictures is that "shadow warrior"

Tarpals seems to be only minor PT-character they remember anymore.... there is no Nass:( .... Panaka could be in but he shouldn't die..... I wonder if that funny queen from BSV makes an appearance- she should.... but i really would love to see Nute again he really should be in this arc- now with Haako, then Sio Bibble and Ric Olié would be nice to see in TCW-form as well.....

but i expect that Tarpals is only minor PT-character in this:( - Typho is of course already well-known TCW-character but i would love to see new minor PT-characters made to TCW-form- after they failed opportunity to flesh out Tikkes[face_not_talking] they should bring Gunray back -he is already TCW-character and he is much more interesting than people think and more funny than Jar Jar..... HE made Bombad Jedi bearable to me...

Neeyutnee should definitely make an appearance, and maybe they can mention Jamillia having Separatist tendencies as well and that's why Neeyutnee moved to replace her. But maybe that's too much to ask for. Episode seems interesting though.

I'm not expecting much, probably clichés, some plotholes and A LOT OF OT-references, Grievous and Anakin both being captured and then traded when they are unconscious[face_laugh] so they can show them together in same place, but without probs with ROTS- just pathetic really- they really didn't invent anything better? If they try to avoid their meeting what about putting them to separate arcs?- Not all battles need Skywalker or Grievous. Second battle of Naboo should be Nute's revenge but i could bet we won't see him or even hear about him:( .....

His appearance would save the episode really.

Damn even Lego Clone Wars had Nute Gunray on Naboo- but lego games>TCW anyway[face_laugh]

While I was sorry to see no Boss Nass (bwuhubble-bwuhubble-bwuhubble) in Gungan Attack, if only because I wanted to see him say "Dive, my Frog-men, DIIIIVE!, at least this episode provides a justifcation for the change to Boss Lyonie - Prisoner of Zenda shenanigans with Jar Jar! C'mon, the idea is great, let's just hope the execution lives up to it.

I can't wait to see Grievous kill Tarpals! He'll be what, the second movie character killed off in the series?

I generally seem to enjoy Grievous, and if we're getting Anakin v. Dooku, should be decent.

I'm concerned about how much screen time Jar-Jar is getting, but I do agree that he has been more or less reined in.

^We probably won't- I could bet they have no idea of that "info" anyway......

"Jar Jar must stop his people from rising against the Naboo?" Would be fun to see some imperial foreshadowing in form of pro-human naboo who would be against gungans..... and Panaka must not die.....

Tarpals should, but looks like he is better duelist than Kit Fisto....

I was only trying to help there. I warned of the spoiler in another thread. Now see, lets not jump to judging this episode so quickly. Does all chocolate frosting taste the same? As I've said many times we all know how this is going to end (The monster of the day formula this show uses, the circle each episode goes in is very obvious to me). The fun and the real story in these episodes is in how we get to the inevitable ending. If your expecting the circle to break or turn into a square your in for a world of dissapoitnment with every episode. Even the best episodes in the series like "Rookies" go in this predictable circle. The Ryloth Trilogy used it three times and formed one big circle together. "The Deserter" used the monster of the day/circle fomula twice in one episode.

I can't believe it but every day I find myself more and more excited for this episode. At first I was dreading Gungans but it seems that the crew knows how to handle them, at least judging by the past two episodes. Another thing I was worried about was Grievous looking weak by fighting the Gungans, but the show has made them pretty capable warriors and it looks like Grievous will take plenty of them down. In fact, the thing I was dreading most of all, Anakin fighting Dooku again, actually looks to be quite interesting dialogue-wise.

I may end up eating my words but I'm cautiously optimistic about this episode...

I'm very optimistic for this episode. But Friday can take its time getting here. IRL life is good today and that could change tomorrow.

My biggest beef with this episode right now is my inner fangirl is tormented waiting for my favorite character to get some screen time on Umbara.

Yeah, Umbara can't get here soon enough!

I see the point of other posters that it probably would have been a better season opener than the Mon Cal trilogy but thinking in terms of scheduling, if the best episodes are shown first then the rest will look poor in comparison. Better to start small and build up, at least from a networking standpoint.

Umbara might have been to much as the season 4 opening arc given what we know about it and they opened with clones last year. They needed to pick a nice little two parter. I wonder if Rex will appear in his new armor before Umbara. If so then there is no way the Mon Cal arc could of aired earlier and certainly not after Umbara. His model was the old one in "Water War" which kinda stick out. In the deployment scene he looks unpolished compared to the background and the Phase II trooper standing near him.

    Can we block that link?

If I didn't see that on T.V and I clicked it, I'd be pretty pissed.

Anyway I think this episode will surprise and will be pretty good.
